Really anxious and frustrated! (ECG but doctors won't do it, opp in 2 days time!

I have my opp this Thursday and my nurse has said I need to get an ECG done as my last one is out of date. This was today, 2 days before my opp! My doctors won’t do it for me. What do I do? How do I go about getting an ECG without my doctors? Feeling really feed up after paying so much money and now the possibility that it will be postponed 🙁

What’s a ECG?

It’s Electrocardiogram. It’s a recording of the electrical activity of the heart over a period of time. I’ve had it done a few times with the doctor because I’ve had high blood preasure and because I haven’t had it done within 6 months I need another one. I’ve just rang a private hospital and they want to charge me £500 for it 🙁

Ooo no why won’t the doctor do it? Is it because it’s short notice and mya should have given you enough time to sort it x

yeah the doctors didn’t have any appointments free and they won’t do an ECG for elective surgery. This is beginning to cost me a fortune! The doctors want £30 for providing MYA all the medical history they need and now having to get this ECG privately. 🙁 it’s all such a rush!

Hiya, my PC said they could put me in the direction that could do one for £100 if my docs couldn’t do it.x
