Just wondering if anyone can reassure me, I had my pre op today and my surgery is booked for 3rd May but my nurse was saying they like you to have been on your medication 6months prior to your surgery, I’ve only been on mine for 5. Has anyone else been in a similar situation but still been able to have surgery? Really don’t want it to be cancelled x

I’d only been taking my new medication for a couple of weeks but no one said that I needed to have taken them for 6 months. I had my op 11 days ago. X

Oh really, I hope that’s the case with me, I know they write to your gp as standard procedure, just hope cause it’s for anxiety/ depression it doesn’t mess it up x How you finding things post op?x

    Hi Amy,
Mine were beta blockers, I’m sure you’ll be ok Hun!
It’s ok, everything is healing nicely, I’m not really in pain, just a few niggles now and then, but I had large implants and had expected it to be much worse than it is. In fact I’m pretty much doing everything I was pre op apart from heavy lifting & I’m not back in the gym. Xx

Fingers crossed it all goes ahead, I’m so excited to finally have boobs haha! And omg that’s really good considering your only 11days po! I hope I heal quick like that so I can get back to normal, going to drive me mad not being able to go the farm and the gym xx

Hi Casey thanks for messaging me!! I’m seeing my doctor tonight so do you think if I speak to her and get a letter ect from her then I’ll be okay? It will only just be under 6 months and like you, if you’d of asked about the op before I went on the meds I’d still of said I want it doing xxx

I am on Citalpram for anxiety as well. I went to my doctors and asked them to print out a letter while I was there so I could send it on in case they forget or take ages. My PC said this will really help speed up the process. They just need confirmation that you are ‘ healthy and sound of mind’ to make the decision about surgery. I am sure it will be fine but make sure you get a letter from our doctor asap!
