I had overs and on the actual day I was absolutely fine, when I woke up I couldn’t really feel anything at all. The worst pain for me has been day 2 and 3 but with the painkillers it’s not been as bad as I thought, it’s just if I moved a certain way and it pulled on the strapping over the incisions. Sleeping upright though, not gunna lie to you that sucks lol xx

I had unders yesterday and when you first wake up it’s just like the day after a massive chest work out. It’s not the kind of pain what makes you cry or anything it’s just pretty uncomfortable and tight. Please don’t worry too much about it!!
Also, I was given paracetamol and ibuprofen before going into theatre.

Hope this helps to but your mind at ease! xx

I had unders and it sort of feels like your chest is tight, it only really hurt when I tired to move too much. You have a buzzer so can call for painkillers. I would say it’s a bearable pain, just keep loading up on the painkillers and don’t let them wear off x

Hi Stacey. Please don’t worry. I am an absolute wimp with pain and petrified of needles and hospitals. Honestly, I’ve had no pain during my recovery. You don’t feel anything after your op because your completely numb and dosed up on antibiotics, paracetamol and ibuprofen. And still delirious because of the anaesthetic lol. You will feel tight chested though, you will struggle to breathe, laugh, cough, sneeze. And you will be shocked at how limited you are. But once the first week is over you will find it a lot easier! 😃Good luck xxx
