My surgery date is 29th December. I’m concerned how I’m going to feel/any pain afterwards. On New Year’s Eve I have a meal planned, I’m stressing over how il feel. My friend had her BA a month ago and she said she felt absolutely fine, reading people’s experiences on here I’ve realised everyones different in recovering, and some have been in agony. Anything to do with the Dr, or where implants are places effects the pain? Any advice please? It’s with Dr Traynor 🙂

I had my ba on Monday and I’ve been up and about all week. I’ve felt tired, sick and really aching some days but still been out doing things. Today I wanted to go and do a bit of shopping and was out for about half hour, I felt terrible! Think I’ve over done it really and maybe should of rested more from the beginning. Everyone is different with pain and some of my friends who have had it done have said they can’t believe i have been out all week as they were stuck in bed for days! I would say don’t plan too much though just in case you don’t feel up to it. I had unders and still feel in pain now and need help sitting up out of bed. Sorry to go on a bit! Haha. Good luck to you both xx

Laura you might struggle to be honest, I’d make sure you have lots of help as you won’t be able to lift anything but it all just depends on you really. I didn’t think I’d be bad at all as have quite a high pain threshold but I felt really ill for at least a week and couldn’t move around properly for about 6 days but everyone is different.

Lyndsey you should be OK as long as you have someone to help you lift pans ect as I struggled with a heavy one tonight and I’m 3 weeks PO x

I have a really good pain threshold and I felt fine after day 4 and didn’t need pain killers. First 2/3days are the most important for resting so I wouldn’t advise it tbh with you!! It’s hard to get up and walk and get ready and the surgeons do say rest! I don’t think you’d feel up to it either because you’re so bloated from antibiotics etc and your shoulders and back ache a lot! Won’t have much sleep so you will most likely feel a bit groggy! If you move around too much it can also affect the healing of your boobs too! Xxx

Thanks for all the advice! I think I got my hopes up to much as my friend felt fine even the next day and she even went to a concert 2 days after! I don’t expect to feel on top form, just if I can manage a meal out il be happy! I feel like I have booked it at a awkward time but I have two weeks off work over Xmas so thought it would be better than cutting into holidays next year, now I’m wondering whether to change the date!

Lhea, I’m not sure if Unders or overs yet, my appointment is on Monday! Good luck for Wednesday please let me know how it goes!
    Thanks everyone! Xx

Babe I had mine done yesterday and can move my arms and everything so I think you will be fine! The only think I’m struggling with is flushing the loo and pulling a door open!

Before you have your meal make sure your on top on your meds as you will feel tight and have discomfort! But I think u will be fine! As soon as I got home From my op I had a cooked dinner for me all ready haha 🙂

Just realise you will be more tired and I wouldn’t advise drinking as you will be on antibiotics Hun!

If you have any other questions you can always add me and I will try and help

    Good luck xxxx

@rachele94 wow! I hope I feel as well as you are! same as my friend she was basically fine the next day but I no some people don’t have it that easy. Did you have unders or overs? I’m praying that I can at least make the effort to go out for a few hours. Knowing my luck I’lll be stuck in bed haha.
Thanks for your advice, happy recovering! xxx

I had mine done on Wednesday and the first day I got home and I could open doors and eat and lift drinks and dress myself and I was like wow! So happy, the next day I woke up and I was the complete opposite. For 24 hours I couldn’t lift a thing and could just about get myself to the toilet and back. I was gutted 🙁 but feeling a little bit better today but no way could I leave the house I feel exhausted and my boobs are sore and ache like crazy! It’s not like major pain but I wouldn’t advice doing anything for a while you need to rest. I left the house yesterday to buy a different sports bra as mine were all small on me and it killed me being out for an hour. I’m hoping by Sunday I feel better which will be 4days post op cos I’ve got a friends party that I can’t miss but I doubt il be dancing and won’t drink! I did have under the muscle though and it’s supposed to be a lot worse than over. I suppose every body is different aren’t they! Just wanted to say the first day I was amazed at the amount of pain and was telling everyone it’s not bad at all and woke up the next day and regretted it ?? xxx

Hey Hun no course I don’t mind! When I get my bandages off I will show you! I got told I will end up 34D or 34DD as I’m a 34b already and I have a larger frame, I’m like 11stone and nearly 5ft8 🙂 I’ve put my picture in this just so u can see so far? Not are if its on my profile yet 🙂

So far I’m really happy! I can’t see much but I feel okay considering!!

I’ve been out to sleep 8 times now so that didn’t bother me. They will take you down to the theatre room, lay you on the bed, they strap your arms to the bed which reminded me something out of 50 shades of grey haha! They he put an injection in my hand and I suddenly felt a tingley feeling go across my face I counted to 10 but only got to 8 and I was away with the fairies!! Next thing I no I’m in recovery all sleepy!

Make sure you rest loads leading up to Christmas 🙂 xxx
