Hiya, Im looking for a sutaible time to book my BA as I have lots of lovely things booked this summer but unfortunatley they are spread evenly through the summer so I dont have a big 6 week gap to take out for recovery.

Im on holiday in the beginning of July, Im at a log cabin with the family for a weekend at the end of july, a festival at the end of august and I start uni in September.

Most of these things, I wont be able to be in a sports bra for so I would like to know, how many weeks post op would I have to wear a sports bra for? How many weeks post op can I go clubbing or drink alcohol and how many weeks post op will I be able to swim and be active?

Any help will be appreciated as I really want to get my BA this summer!!

6 weeks at least for sports bra and being active all depends on the person, some people take longer to recover. same with clubbing and alcohol but you do have painkillers and antibiotics for a week afters so you can’t drink with those anyway i think. have you had an initial consultation yet? your PC can help you find a suitable time for you to book your BA 🙂 xx

Sports bra/supportive bra is 6 weeks. A must according to my PC. I’m 8 days post op and I’m just about moving around and relaxing my boobs abit, but everybody recovers different. Depending on your incisions depends on when you will have dressing off and be able to shower ect. Swimming is 6 weeks I’ve been told, and you can drink as soon as the antibiotics course is finished although drinking on the painkillers given is not advised. Clubbing is a choice of yours and your recovery, you may need to be cautious of knocks ect! X

Hi I’m hoping to have my ba the middle of may as I have a holiday booked first week in July too! I’m going to see Dr kazzazi on Thursday and will be quizzing him whether it’s a good idea as my son will be expecting me to go down all the water slides! Will add you as a friend if that’s OK and let you know what he says Thursday xx

Hi, can you let me know what Dr Kazzazi said regarding the holiday? I am due to have the surgery just over 4 weeks before my holiday, and want to know if its a good idea or just wait until after? Thanks xx

I just want to recommend a black Macom bra for post op. I wear a lot of long line, drop armhole vests and they just look like I’ve got a bandeau on underneath. Lots of people don’t get on with them but I have loved mine and they are much less discreet than sports bras. I have a white one too but it’s very see through on the nipple area and looks more like a bra. You can also get lower cut second stage Macom bras for a better cleveage. I find they come up a bit smaller though or maybe it’s because I have bigger implants xx
