    My daughter is due to have surgery 10/04/13. MYA gave my daughter impressions that they could deffinetly get her a loan and took £500 deposit + £1000 payment from my daughter then a few days later 04/04/13 they informed my daughter they were unable to secure her aloan. As my daughter has no other funds she asked for her money back. MYA said, ‘they dont give money back’. surely this is not correct, they are keeping money for doing nothing, surely she is at least entitled to her £1000 back. they also told my daughter they will keep money so she can re-book in future and will need to pay a furhter £500 just for changing appointment – is this legal? On top of this MYA have not even given her a contract or a receipt, just an invoice to confirm her booking with no mention of money..she wants her money back..please help

    hi Lisa,
    before i had my surgery, i got a patient pack at the first meeting with her patient coordinator. In this pack all the information regarding cancellation and refunds, as well as details regarding who to contact if you have complaints. Your daughter should have it as well. If she doesnt have it, i think it is worth talking to her PC again and ask for all receipts… hope this will get resolved!
    i think MYA mod can also help to get in contact with right people to help in this situation.
