Rhino girls – swelling

Hi,

Has anyone noticed that their nose has swelled slightly in this heat? I’m almost six weeks post op and my nose definitely looks and feels more swollen this week than it did last. I’m putting it down to the heat but wondering if anyone else has noticed this? X

it will do its the sun your not actually meant to sunbathe and be directly in it for 9months but just wear the highest factor on it and a hat if you canxx

can anyone tell me how swollen your nose is two weeks post op? its my friends birthday and I really want to go out but I don’t know if i can? Also how soon after can you start wearing make up xx

My swelling has gone worse in the heat too but I’ve noticed it’s more inside of my nose I’m finding it hard breathing properly at night because of it and I have been sunbathing too but smothered my nose and my scar in cream and had no problems! I started wearing make up after about 3 weeks but applied it really gently it’s harder trying to clean it off! I was really swollen until I was about 2 months post op because I had open rhino but I went out after a month but I still looked a bit weird and I didn’t drink too much either cos I was so scared of knocking it! Just depends on what you get done and if your comfortable going out xx

Hi all, I’m 7 months post op and yes have noticed more swelling /difficulty breathing in this heat. I use a nasal spray each day..thanks for reminding me Rinaule that high protection is need up to 9 months post op! I had open rhino and to be honest wish I’d had closed ..and not messed with my tip as it is the bit I regret – it just seems blobby swollen and unattractive – looked better before 🙁 please reassure me anyone who is 7months or more post op that it will still settle down!x

il be 2 years post op in November and id say for open it takes well over a year to heal after my cast come offand it swelled up I really regretted doing it but now 18months on im so happy I did its perfect now! its al swelling just try be paitent it will go down xx
