Rhinoplasty Advice Please :-)

Hi Girls,

I had breast enlargement last May with MYA and loved my experience, so now I am looking to have Rhinoplasty I thought I would come back to MYA!

Are there any recommended surgeons for this at MYA???

Also, I am getting married May 25th, provided I get in quick, is this enough time to heal and any swelling subside?

Hiya i went with Dr gonchior if i spelt his name right i just call him DR G, i would 100% recommend him but i wouldnt revommend getting it done before May only because swelling takes agesssss to go down and with bruising, you could be lucky if it was just closed rhinoplasty, but with getting consulation in seeing him, pre op etc, i dont think it would be good just before your wedding esp if your swelling was to be bad! il be 2 years this november and id say i got another 4months to go with swelling but its taken a year for it to get how i wanted it. x x

OMG does it really take that long?! That’s way longer then having a breast enlargement!! I have had my boobs done 8 months and they look fine, swelling only took a couple of months to pretty much disappear! I have probably left it too late to get it in time for my wedding then, gutted! maybe I’ll get it done straight after my honeymoon then as I’m off to Australia in December and don’t want to be healing! Hey hun, I had Dr Gonschior too who is amazing and he is defo the one to go with no doubt! 🙂

I had my consultation in November 2012 and am getting married this year October 2013 and was told by my PC to have my surgery by end of Feb 2013 to ensure the swelling goes down which makes that 7 months. I ended up having it in December as I was quite eager to have it straight away!

It takes up to 1 year for the nose to be completely healed but as Rinaule said, you may be lucky with closed Rhino. I had closed Rhino 7 weeks ago and honestly I would get married tomorrow as my bruising has gone completely and although it is swollen, I am soooooo happy with how it looks now 🙂

However, everyone is different and it is cutting it fine as you need to have consultations etc and Dr G gets booked up many months in advance unless your lucky to get cancellation.

I would say have your consultations first and see what they say. You can book your surgery at your first consultation with the PC and can cancel it up to 7 days after the meeting the surgeon so you still have time to decide and that way your surgery is booked.

I went on holiday 2 weeks after my surgery and everything was fine 🙂 xxx

Hi girls I had open rhino in dec so quiet new I had a ba a year ago in dec I healed well with the boobs my nose has a bit of a bump on it but still early days, got my six week check tomorrow swollen everywhere still can feel it in the nose n cheeks no bruising tho. I heard it takes over a year I expected it to be small straight away loool x x x

How much did everyone pay?

I had closed rhino and paid £4,200 x

Dr G is getting booked up quickly, I tried booking around the first week in December, wanted a date in March this year and was told they had all gone and only April was available, waited just over a week and most of April was gone apart from one day and June was quite booked up so I got 1st May. Having Open Rhino with Graft 5750 day case, I got 300 taken off the price, should have been 6050 or 6450 for an over night stay. Depending on what kind of rhino can take 6-18 months for swelling and healing x x

Lucie – Id say Dr G is the man! .. I had him 8 nearly 9 months ago, yes the bruising goes down before the cast comes off however im stil very much swollen maybe bcos mine was open. But everyones different, depending on what you would need.
