rhinoplasty- tip swelling

Had my cast off yesterday and I love my new nose! The profile is completely changed with a nice gentle slope.
The only thing is my tip is VERY swollen and still quite low- I had wanted it really reduced and raised. I know tips are often the most swollen part and take ages to go down- but just wondered how long other people’s took to go down?
at the moment mine is so swollen that it looks like there is a flap of skin under one nostril which makes them look uneven- hope this is gonna clear up too.

Mine is still so swollen and im 4 months PO!!

I find that in the mornings it is a lot worse too and then gradually goes down slightly throughout the day! its so annoying but all part of the healing process I guess!

App it can take a full year for tip swelling to go down!

thanks for this- lots of people have said same so i guess i just need to be patient. i hope it is just swelling and it’s not just the shape of my tip! :-/
i think it is swelling though cos it feels kind of numb and hard and looks like a swollen thumb or somethin, if that makes sense

It will deffo be swelling! mine is driving me mad with it atm…specially when I have some really good days and then it all of a sudden swells up again! super annoying. Apart from that are you happy with yours? how was the healing process? x

yeh same here driving me mad, i’m so impatient!!
i absolutely love my side profile. i hated it bbefore cos my nose kind of jutted out, and now it’s really nice and slopey, i never thought i could get that look.
the front view i am less happy with cos it looks massive with a huge tip which is also quite low- but i am confident it is just swelling and it am looking forward to it going down over the coming months.
healing process was actually fine- bruising went really fast and i hardly have any scar. just a little blocked up now and sound like i have a cold, but nothing that bothers me.
what did you have done to yours exactly?

I know how you feel!! Im exactly the same! its so annoying but im sure it will go down (it better anyway!!!).

Just looked at your pics it looks lovely, you must be so happy with it. I love my side profile now too – couldnt stand it before!

Had a septorhinoplasty so the full works hence why its taking such a long time to heal. x

chill ed its still early days for u ur nose ig gonna chnage so much and so many differant shapes and sizes i,m 10 months post op and still swollen as Nicxoxox mentions mornings are the worst ur nose looks really good tho

i went out last night with a close friend who said she was amazed at the difference already so i felt really happy 🙂
mornings are definitely worst for the swelling. i’m just looking forward to it slowly going down over the coming months.

girls, a few people have told me my nose doesn’t look swollen at all from the front, worrying me a bit cos i was hoping it looked so big from the swelling! to me it feels swollen cos it’s really numb and throbs a bit sometimes, and i dont even think it’s fully healed inside yet.
do you think it is swollen or this is just gonna be my final shape / size? :-/
i’m only 3 weeks PO now xx
