Scars

Hi ladies,

I’m 12 days po & since yesterday my right scar seems to be a lot redder than my left – is this normal. In so paranoid that its gonna be infected. I saw the nurse on Friday & she said it all looked perfect. Up I just being dramatic? X

You aren’t being paranoid! Mine was a lot redder on the left side it also hurt a bit more at the beginning too. I’m nearly 12 weeks post op and they’ve evened out in colour now 🙂

Same here right side really hurts still and am worried.
Remember the are two separate ops and each side will heal differently!

Our scars heal at different rates, early signs of infection would be a red and flamed area, but not the line of your scar, extremely tender and starting to weep/leak watery fluid, tends to be you get all three signs if its infected, chances are your incisions are just fine hun. If youre concerned taking a picture and email it to your pc or call your number to speak to a nurse! xxx
