I am having second thoughts on wether or not to go through with BA!?!? I haven’t even met the surgeon yet but already wondering if I’m doing the right thing!?!? Has anyone else felt like this? Xx

Hi Emma, I feel exactly the same. I’ve seen the surgeon and everything has gone smoothly so far but haven’t booked a date as I’m not 100%. Xx

Hiya, I felt like this too before the op, on the day of the op and even certain points after the op. Kept questioning if I was doing the right thing and if I did do the right thing. It’s about the reasons you’re doing it for in the first place and carefully thinking about the risks involved. I knew myself that I wasn’t happy at 32a and wasn’t ever going to be until I had it done to feel in proportion and fill out my clothes the way I wanted and to feel confident in front of my other half. Plus I’ve wanted it for years but if I’m honest even if I grew to like even a b I wouldn’t have had a ba but the age I reached I knew this is it so I just knew I needed it for myself. Think about the reasons you’re having it done in the first place and how you feel now compared to how you’d feel when you do have it done…

I think iv got a lot of thinking to do! I was dead set on the idea I am a 34D but deflated since breast feeding and have lost a lot of confidence and don’t like the way my bras fit anymore! I have just come back from Portugal and realised that lots of other mums in their bikinis looked similar to me and I don’t actually think I looked as bad as I had thought :/ so unsure now do I go for it and gain a healthy full shape again or stay how I am ?!? I’m 28 and plan on having more children in the next few years but don’t want to be in my 40s feeling like I should have had them done now!?! Xx

You also have to consider if you plan to have more children you will probably need another ba in the future!

Yep Hun if that’s how you felt when you came back from Portugal then maybe worth rethinking if it is really what you want to do and understandable that you want that full shape back too but if you don’t think you really want it or need it and have doubts then it’s defo worth rethinking as once you’ve had it done then that’s it. If you want more children Hun I’ve read about stories about people who have had children but boobs have looked fine afterwards as long as they keep a supportive sports bra at all times during pregnancy. I asked this to a senior nurse at MYA and she told me this and said some have had children and there boobs have looked fine afterwards but with some it’s different but it’s defo recommended a supportive sports bra is worn and I’m sure not breast feeding next time will make a difference. Not sure if this helps but I hope the consultation helps and you decide what’s best for you.
