    Hi girls,
I’m getting ‘shivers’ and it leaves me with goosebumps like I have a chill or something. It’s really weird. I haven’t looked at my incisions yet as the nurse said to keep steri-strips on until they fall off. Thing is, I’m 2 weeks post op now. Should I check under the strips to see if I have an infection that’s causing my body temp to drop? Dunno if taking them off will make things worse. Xxx

i dont think you should take off your dressings, i think it could be something to do with your nerves hunny, but im no doctor, i remember getting shivers and chills and it really tensed up my boobs and made them hurt like contractions, if your worried ring the out of hours nurses from your little pink card xx

it can be an after effect of general anaesthetic, when was your op? it might just be all the meds leaving your body if you are a few days PO xx

I sometimes get these and I am 11 days post op and they actually hurt! I had partials and when I shiver my pec muscles tense – no idea if I had this before my BA, but I notice it now because it’s uncomfortable xx

I totally shivered just reading all this lol. It’s bloody horrible the shivers and the morning boob (the rock solid boobs I had in the morning) it will all be behind you soon xx it’s completely normal don’t worry and do not check your incisions trust me its best to wait till you see the nurse 🙂 xx

Hi girls, thank you all. It’s good to know that others are getting it but not nice that we are! Just a little reassuring that I know it’s part of the healing process. Hope you’re all doing well and thanks again. My next appointment with the nurse is my 6 week check on 7th May so I’m guessing the little steri-strips will have fallen off by then.

    Xxx
