I’ve added you to check hun – the shock absorbers measure much smaller than normal bras, I was measured a 32G but have a 36DD Shock.

You’re supposed to fit 2 fingers under the band but it should be quite snug everywhere – mine is very tight and supportive. Much different to my Macom!

You can adjust it accordingly, if it’s uncomfortable try knocking it down a slot xx

Thanks @tracyface I’m a 27 inch back it feels tight but it doesn’t feel uncomftable but my mum thinks it is as it’s leaving indents on me and on the top of my boobs but after doing an online size guide I think I needed an f xx

I’ve got the exact same problem @parisjade ! The day I got my strapping off I went and brought a shock absorber from John Lewis to wear when my Macon bra was in the wash. when I brought the shock absorber I was only 7 days post op so was very swollen still and had a lot of fluid retention of my chest and ribs, so brought a 34 DD myself (didn’t get measured) usually before I’m a 28/30 back as of my small frame. However now at 9 days post op it’s getting tighter by the day.. But my swelling is sposed to be going down!? ( although still quite swollen and bloated very where!) The back band is so tight and already a 34..the breast part is getting tighter too but fits snug and supportive so it’s not too bad yet. I also had under the muscle , do they get bigger as they drop and fluff?
Will deffo be going to get another bra as my boobs and shape is going to be changing more I’m sure! X

i was 36dd pre op (felt more comfortable in 34 bands though and had bought a 36gg, my surgeon advised id be around 36gg but the band was snug, the cups were tiny! went to tesco and tried on the biggest sizes 40dd and 40e and the 40e fits perfect, can fit a finger or 2 under the band and the cups fit nicely too! it is confusing, im still yet to go get measured and try on the sports bras but at the min i still cant move my arm without discomfort and im too embarrassed to ask for help ill go wednesday im sure il be better by then xxx

they do tend to get bigger unders do hun as the muscle relaxes and has less compression on the implant xx

Sports bras have to be much tighter as they are designed to hold you in tight and not move you – especially the shock absorber run bras – they’re designed so you don’t get two black eyes lol.

    Here’s what the website says:

    The Underband
The band around the chest should be level front and back. It needs to be comfortable but firm. A good gauge to ensure that the underband fits well is being able to fit two fingers between the underband and your skin. Any more space and the band is too big and could cause friction.

    The Cups
The cup should contain the whole of the breast, with no creases and no cleavage on show.

    The Shoulder Straps
Sports bras come in different styles, usually a traditional U Back or Racer Back. The straps should be adjusted to fit securely on the shoulders with only one to two inch give.

You should be able to fit 2 fingers under the band, no more.

But the cup looks way too small which is why it’s leaving indents on your boobs – you shouldn’t be able to see your cleavage, I think you need to go up a cup or two cos it should sit much higher – I have pictures of mine on my profile so you can see how it sits xx

I think the problem with sports bras is that they aren’t designed to be worn 24/7 so will probably feel uncomfortable after a while, I’ve bought one just to wear when I’m back at work next week but will use the macom once I get home and for sleeping in 🙂

    @kellyp030184

I went to Debenhams, the bra fitter was clued up on the Shocks and said although I am a 32G I should defo try a 36 band on, she guessed first at the cup but we went from there to find the right fit – she spent about 15 minutes with me!

I had to book in cos they spend time with you – it’s not one of those places you just walk in and they sort you out. xx
