So I haven’t noticed it before but just before as I was changing my bra and getting a gentle wash I noticed on of the plasters over my incisions have abit of a dark patch on so I’m assuming blood is this normal? I had my op on Monday

Hi Hayley I had some on mine but I noticed this before I left the hospital on the day of the op, I showed the nurse she said it was fine and I kept an eye it didn’t get any bigger. If you hadn’t noticed it maybe give your nurse a ring, or keep an eye on it over the next couple of hours/this evening to make sure the patch doesn’t get any bigger (which would mean it is still bleeding) then I would defs give the nurse a call x

I just read that back didn’t make much sense lol I mean I would give the nurse a call if the patch of blood gets bigger over the course of the evening x

Hi I just had my op yesterday and I noticed two dots of blood on each side the nurse called me today and I asked about it and she said it it’s dry blood that’s perfectly normal to have a little bit of blood there I wouldn’t worry about it unless it starts to bleed again xxx

@Chloe Ah okay thanks, I was just abit concerned as I’m 3dpo and only just got it! Hopefully it’s nothing to worry about! I’m booked in to see my nurse Monday so might just give her a call tomorrow just to be sure about it!

Hi Hayley, you’re right to get it checked for peace of mind but I still had that at 3 to 4 weeks post op. As long as you’re not gushing with blood then it’S normal but if you’re concerned then do get it checked out x
