It’s been over a year now since I got my implants. I have been ill since 6 weeks after with hair loss, non stop viral infections and skin rashes all over my face and neck. I have been so disappointed with the after care by Mya, I have called on numerous occasions to speak to a nurse and have not heard back (apart from 1 voicemail). My surgeon denies any correlation between the implants and symptoms. I have been on Realself website and it seems the are so many women going through the same issues, it’s cannot just be a coincidence. These woman seem to regain their health after removal. I will be getting my implants removed next month as I just want my health back, this has been a year of hell. I will not be using Mya for removal for fear of another 7 hour delay on my day of surgery. Please if you are thinking about implants do research your carefully. I have lost a year or my life, thousands of pounds in implant/removal and medical bills and will have the scars to show for it. X

@KIKI87 that’s awful!! Who are you getting them removed with? And do they think it’s the cause of your health issues?

Let us know how you get on after removal.

I’m only 12 days post op but have been sick ever since. Dizzy, blurred vision, nausea, headaches, fever but Mya nurses claim its side effects of the antibiotics even though I stopped the antibiotics days ago. After hearing your story I’m worried about the aftercare not being as good as Mya claims.

Hope your return to full health.

I have seen this before my friend had this problem after she had implants, turned out she had lupus and it was a direct result of having her implants. Type into google breast implants and lupus and quite a lot comes up about it. Sorry to here what you are going through xx

And one of the Main symptoms of lupus for her was a rash on face and neck, it also causes aches and muscle pain and feeling tired. Hope you get things sorted xx
