Single mum with baby & child to look after?! Recovery!!

Hiya i am due to have an uplift with implants on june 24th, i am a single mum and have a 6 year old and a 8 month old baby, i an terified of recovery with having children especially a young baby! E.g having to bath him and lift him into the car seat and high chair and cot! Just wondering if anyone has had an uplift with implants and has children and how much they struggled?? X

You’ll need a help with the baby. 🙁
You can’t lift the baby at all for 6 weeks. :-/ but in first week you are not going to be able to use your arms.
I couldn’t do much in the first week. I was even struggling to change the nappy. My partner and mum are doing everything.

Hey Hun. I had an uplift with impmnta on the 31st March. The first week I couldn’t lift the baby as I could hardly move my arms. I think it was around a week and a half I started lifting her (she was 10 months at the time. But my eldest daughter helped loads with getting her in and out the bath and in and out of cot. She’s 5 I would say if you can see if your family can help especially for the first few days or even frfriends as you will need it. But I was absolutely terrified for recovery awith the two kids especially the baby but I managed. And you can pick your child up before the 6 weeks Hun just not as much as you would normally only when it’s really neserserry but I didn’t lift mine till a week and a half or 2 weeks. Gould find way s to get around it Hun and your probs over thinking it in your head like me. But honestly try and get help for the first few days xx

But you are not supposed to lift anything heavy (including child) for at least 6 weeks. :-/
I really want to pick my girl up but I’m so scared to do it just in case something goes wrong with my stitches,implant and muscles. :-/
Did anytime happened when you picked up your baby?

@celiahughes Thankyou, i will try and get help for the first week! I have a 6 year old so im sure he will help me out too! Like you said im just scared! Were you in a lot of pain?? X
