Sitches still there!!!

I’m 3 weeks po on Monday and I can still feel some stitches!! Shouldn’t they have dissolved by now?!

I had to have one trimmed last week as it was poking out, I am now 8 weeks post op. It started poking out again but luckily it fell out yesterday. Just give it a bit more time, if they are still there at your 6 week check up your nurse will trim them for you x

my stitchrs that were pokin out got trimmed at my 2 week post op, i think the knots take longerr to disolve, i knoe how annoyin it is tho as the places were they are can take longer to heal, just try not to catch them on nethin n ur nurse will proberly trim them or pull them out next time, if ye can let ur skin heal around them first it is better x

I’m almost eight weeks and have a few stitches poking out, makes my incisions feel hairy 🙁 I have my six week tomorrow so hopefully they will trim them again xx

There just a few but they in really awkward places and scratch me, hopefully they dissolve soon x

you could try puttin a plaster over them, just to sop them scratchin ye x

Yeah I might try that I’ve got some steri strips the nurse gave me x

some stitches are dissolving while others should be removed! I guess you are in the first group, right? Did you speak with your doc about that?
