I was never told by the nurse or surgeon you needed to sleep on your back. I have been. I’m now day 8 po.
I was told by my PC that you need to be on your back for six weeks….surely not! I’m desperate to turn on my side and get some sleep!
Why are people not given this advice if it is so important? Does anyone really know the correct advice?

I don’t know, I thought it was just for 6 weeks but I’ve seen some girls write they were on their side after a week but packing some cushions in to protect the twins. This is the only thing I’m dreading when I get mine done as I always sleep on my right side 🙁 xxx

My nurse said to me yesterday I can lie flat now as long as I stay on my back. Had a miles better nights sleep last night rather than waking uo with a crick in my neck. Im going to do as they say. I will ask at my app next week if it has to be six weeks lying on ur back xx

Never been told that either and if the nurse or surgeon haven’t said anything then I wouldn’t take her word for it as she isn’t medically trained. Until I’m told otherwise by the nurse or surgeon i’m going to listen to me body and sleep whatever way is comfortable xx

I agree with Siobhan. I don’t think you would want to for the first week anyway but it’s really how your body feels. I find myself waking on my side but feeling sore so I go back on my back and I’m 4 weeks post op but just got with how u feel.. I think it’s just so the implants get a chance to settle in one place x

Definitely find the boobs are sore first thing in the morning…even sleeping on my back! Anyone else?

Yeah I had that for about a week after, it’s just because you haven’t been moving to stretch your muscles while you sleep xx
