This is prob gonna sound really blonde but I forgot to ask the nurse yesterday but how long do I have to sleep on my back for? Also can I start at least sleeping flat now? Can’t cope with this tilted up position much longer , needless to say why I’m still awake now:( I’ve had to put a cushion under my feet coz my heels were hurting from digging in the bed lol then a cushion under my bum coz its getting numb then I’ve got a pile of pillows, plus a v pillow and a neck cushion thing. Ughhhh oh to sleep ony side/front. What bliss :0 xx

I slept with less pillows and flatter from about 10 days, ached like he’ll getting up off the bed for a further week but worth it and ache would disappear after a minute. Been sleeping on my side since a month post op and that’s been fine x

Thanks Deborah. I think I might try and start sleeping with normal amounts of pillows over the next few days then. I think I’ve slept on my side abit in the night coz I’ve woke up aching like hell and had to have one of the painkillers. Ouchies. x

I’ve now started sleeping abit flatter some nights and have slept on my side abit too but then sometimes end up abit achey and end up on my back again. People seem to say sleep how you’re comfortable but I hope this isn’t gonna damage them?! X

Aw ok thanks. I forgot to mention it at my check up and have just sortve gone with my own instincts since but because I’m still abit tender was worried it was the sleeping that might be causing it. X

I’m just over 4 weeks post op and still sleeping propped up on pillows ! Feels too weird to lie flat ! Hope I get used to it soon as really not sleeping well sitting up. How long do they say before u can lie flat? I can’t remember what the nurse said at my one week check Xx

Hello Hun I used to trick myself that I was on my side! I used to put a few pillows flat behind my V pillow then used to position myself diagonally so across the bed then I just used to turn my head onto the pillow (towards my feet, not away) it actually helped me sleep really well! But everyone s different!! I don’t know if you will get what I mean but try it as you read it lool xx
