I’m only 7 days post op and sleeping upright is such a pain! 6 weeks of it I don’t think I can bare it. I slept nearly laid down last night but slightly propped up. I no it’s only for them to drop I don’t believe it does damage. I don’t plan on sleeping laid down all the time just now and again to be comfortable! Any tips?

I’m surprised how back to normal I feel so fast, just slightly achey arms! Can’t wait to get the plasters off today and finally have a normal shower! X

I got told by the nurse at my one week apoointment that I could gradually get lower it was causing me to get a bad back I’m 3 weeks post op and sleep with 2 pillows. I find myself sometimes on my side and end up hurting next day! Just can’t wait to be able to sleep how I want. Does anyone know if you can eventually sleep on your side without it feeling weird? X

@aliceelizabeth it’s horrible sleeping upright isn’t it! I just couldn’t get comfy whatsoever! I use 3 pillows now on a slope so I’m nearly laid down but not quite. I’m not sure when you can sleep on your side tbh, I think it’s just when you feel comfortable to do so as I no it can cause a bit of pain. I reckon you could in a few weeks time you’l be able to properly though 🙂 X

I hated it I couldn’t sleep atall for the first week I felt like crying even tried the sofa but still didn’t work so now I’m pretty much laying flat I don’t think it makes that much difference to your recovery they say
it’s to keep the swelling down, mine arnt bad atall now I wouldn’t say I have any swelling tbh. I’m not getting much pain now either ? It’s just if I sleep funny. I really do hope we feel normal again ? I think I’m very nearly there though n only three weeks post op so not bad atall ? Fingers crossed your the same @laura93h

I think it’s just a precaution to be honest with you I found that laying on my side on the the first few days after having them done hurt me but I’m 4 weeks post op today and been sleeping on my side for a few days now no pain at all I’m finally starting to feel normal again and like there apart of me I feel great! ? And I had implants and an uplift xx
