It’s 4am and I’m wide awake, uncomfortable and in pain! What is life trying to sleep sitting up! I’m now 4 day Po, the first 2 days sleeping up were fine and now it’s like hell. How do you all do it? Am I missing a trick? I’ve got 2 pillow on my bed as normal, 2 V pillows leaning upright on top of them, a pillow under my knees and a neck rest and I still can’t get comfortable! Any tips welcome, this is like torture especially when my partner is snoring the place down next to me

Hey hun, i know how you feel ! Im 11dpo now and the sleeping has to be the worst part of the Ba by far!
I gave up last night and slept with just a pillow and the v pillow, flatter than a 45 degree angle but i fell asleep! Ha!
Ive done this twice now and have woke up in no pain etc.. altho my main has been very minimal throught out! I will be getting the all clear to sleep flat on my back tuesday, cant come quick enough!
Ive heard people have bought a back rest from argos around £25 this seemed to have helpd alot of women with their sleep! For the girls that a required to sleep like this for 6 weeks by their surgeon i feel for 🙁
I have also slept on my sofa which i found much better, no sore bum!
Hope you manage to find your comfy place and happy healing!! Xxx

Hi Sheren, yes I found the back rest from Argos is an absolute God send. It can be adjusted into about 6 different positions and because its strurdy it makes the pillows feel firmer and more supportive. I use the backrest with 2 normal pillows, my v pillow over the top, a tiny pillow in the small of my back and a pillow under my knees its Hillarious, but I do sleep really well, no problems.
ps days 5&6 i was really sore and fed up and I did’t sleep well. You will start to feel better and find sleeping will become easier.
good luck on your sleep mission xx

Thanks Victoria. It’s awful isn’t it. OMG 6 weeks of sitting up straight sounds like absolute hell, I pray that’s not me. It’s the sore bum and bottom of my back which is killing so maybe I’ll try the sofa.
Becki, I’ll give the back rest a try, gonna send him out today and go and get one. Fingers crossed it works. I gave up in the end and came downstairs so tired now!

Snap, I’m struggling with sleeping upright too my best option is the sofa with v pillow x

I found that sleeping with a hot water bottle under my back really helped! x

I’ve permanently got a sore arse and back. I’ve tried everything possible and I still wake up about 100 times in the night 🙁 x

I’ve been sleeping upright on the sofa with a pillow and v pillow so far – I’m 6DPO. I tried sleeping in bed one night with the Argos back rest but it was so uncomfortable! The sofa has been my saviour! Xx
