    Please can anyone give me any tips! It’s only been my first night sleeping propped up and my bum/coxis area is so sore! I’ve bought one of the V pillows and have a nest of pillows surrounding me and am actually quite comfortable other than my bum and bottom of back!! Woke up so much due to pain there and not from my boobs which was unexpected lol! Has anyone else had this problem?!

    @d12j ahh I stayed overnight too after my op, and was fine in there! This was my first night home and it’s been awful! I would 100% recommend the V pillow, I normally sleep on my tummy and never thought I’d be comfortable sleeping sat up but it’s actually been okay apart from the pressure on my bum!

    Ah I’m glad I’m not the only one!! It’s horrible isn’t it, I understand why we need to sleep like this but let hope there’s someone on here that can give us a tip to make it more comfortable!

    I didn’t sleep whatsoever firs tight other than maybe half an hour here or there… Was so worried as they say you heal whilst you’re asleep… I have like 8 pillows behind me keeping me up in like a slant with my v pillow and I’ve had to have sleeping tablets otherwise I just wouldn’t sleep xx

    Hi girls, I’m now 16 days post op so I’m out and about now and thankfully not stuck in bed because I experienced this! I tried putting a pillow infront of the v shape to support my back and this helped a lot! I also slept with a pillow underneath my bum for support as I sat in the same position for so long my bum and lower back were in agony. Hope these tips help you! xxx

    Thanks Chloe, I think I will send my mum out for some of those for me tonight then and see if they help me get a few more hours!

    @jemmab

    I’m in the same boat! 10 days post op and I’m still sore!! I’ve just been using heat lotion on my back and top of my bum and it has helped to ease the pain a lot xx

    Aww ladies it does get better I’m 12 days now and I’m still sleeping sat up, I got really sore heels on my feet due to not moving much in the night I had to put a pillow under them to elevate them. It does get easier xxx

    I’m in the same boat too! I’ve found using a v pillow with three pillows under the best for me. Also a pillow under my knees has made a massive difference. Try those heat pouches that you put in the microwave to heat up. I got two for 2.99 at SuperDrug x

    I really struggled at frst, but I found using a hot water bottle on my back and bum helped a lot. If possible sleeping against a wall with your pillows against the wall seemed to help too. It does get better in time but it is painful xxx

    I’m currently 5 weeks post op and still sleeping on my back with no problems. I brought a full body maternity pillow from Amazon and it has been a life saver. I would definitely recommend them.

    Thank you for the replies everyone! I’m glad it’s not just me, I’ve managed to get by with a pillow under my bum! It’s not been as bad as the first night! @shammm that full body pillow looks so comfortable haha I may have to invest in one of those? I’m surprisingly managing to sleep fine sat up, but definitely can’t wait to getting back to normal! Long way to go yet though I know!
