I’m on my second ba and I’m sure last time I was told to sleep upright for 10 days or 2 weeks, something like that. This time I’m being told 4 weeks – I’m sure this has just been a miscommunication with my surgeon but can anyone else clarify what they’ve been told? I’m struggling to get any sleep this time round and am not taking any painkillers which did knock me out last time! Thanks x

I was told 2 weeks, but maybe they’re telling you 4 weeks because perhaps your body needs more help the second time around? I’d phone up just to check xx

Thanks girls. I think he got confused with the 4 wks with a bra but I’ll check with nurse on Thursday to be sure – I don’t think I could cope with 4 wks!

Oh god I can’t imagine going back this soon! How on earth are you managing?? I have had to take 4 weeks off which I am so grateful for as I will need it to catch up on sleep when I can lie down again! I have a terrible pain in my arm which I think has been caused by this awkward sleeping which is as bad as the pain in my incisions – I forgot about this part of the recovery! Good luck back at work, take it easy xx
