I was debating the same thing on this forum before my op. If your going with mya they usually do not offer smooth implants as they have more complications. I was told literally a handful of patents at mya have had them and it was for a specific reason not because of their preference. I was told Ultimately it’s the surgeons decision to choose smooth or textured. All I will say is that if your researching it online, don’t believe everything you read there are a lot of positive things said about smooth implants online. However A lot of those website are US Websites which promote smooth implants over textured but the videos/websites you might have seen are probably very outdated I had Dr singh from mya as my surgeon and he said there is a significantly increased risk of capsular contracture with the smooth compared to textured implants (cc is the most common complication after a BA). I put my trust in him and went with textured. My implants have settled in perfectly and look so natural ATM I am so glad I went with his recommendation. xx
