I’m only POD2 but I’m still struggling quite badly. I feel awfully tight, my sides where the drains were are really hurting, my back is in pieces and I’m not sleeping well. I’ve slightly loosened my breast band which kind of helps the pressure but nothing else is really helping I’m using ice packs occasionally to try keep the swelling down but that doesn’t seem to be doing much. I know this is to be expected but omg it’s awful!

When did things seem to calm down for everyone else? I have unders x

Hi Amy , i am 11DPO and feel much better since day 8 .
I had my one week check and the nurse removed the strapping- such a relief 🙂
From day 1 I start taking the pain killers 3 times a day and that really helped me with the pain – 2 tablets of paracetamol each time.
On the third day i take off the Macom strapping , it was really tight and I couldn’t breathe normally.
    Hope that’s helped.

@arenius I’ve been taking the painkillers they gave me whenever I feel needed as I normally feel quite sick when I take too many. They seem to take the edge off a bit but not much.
Did they say anything about you taking your Macom band off? I’ve been told to keep it on until Thursday? Wondering writer I’d get away with removing it for an hour or so a day to get a break from it x

    +1

Hi Amy , they didn’t say anything about taking off the Macom strapping, I’ve made a research and found out that there are lots of girls with no strapping after the operation.
I felt so bad with my Macom strapping and decided to remove it , only left the plastic strapping and my PO bra .
