So worried – Seroma? :(

Hey girls,

I’m so worried I may have fluid build up on my right boob 🙁 it’s a bit more swollen than the left but I just thought that was where the left was dropping quicker.
Yesterday I started getting the worst cramp like stabbing pains in the outside of my right boob, mainly when I move my arm and it’s getting worse and worse, when I touch it it hurts aswell.

Does anyone know what it’s like to have Seroma? I don’t know if I’m overthinking it or what! So worried xx

I am sure its nothing to worry about, but if you have any concerns you should call your nurse, thats what they is there for, to reassure you and give you advice. How long are you post op? Give her a call hun and put your mind at rest xx

Hey @beckis just been told to take pain meds and put ice on it until I’m seen tomorrow. Bit annoyed really as I’m in so much pain xx

@caseymurrell oh no hun you must be so worried. It’s probably nothing serious but can’t help but worry:( it’s a bit rubbish they wouldn’t see you sooner if you’re in a lot of pain. Best of luck tomorrow and hopefully you’ll be better soon. What time is your appointment? Xxx

@mya450cc thank you 🙁 appointment isn’t until 6:45 so I’ve got all day worrying! I’m starting to get bruising underneath my boob aswell, I’m so scared xx

@caseymurrell oh no hun I’m so sorry you’re going through this:( try to stay positive and not worry even though it’s hard. Even if it is fluid they will book you to have it drained which although unnecessary hassle stress and pain at least it would get sorted so try not to worry. I might see you tomorrow if you’re going to Chelmsford clinic, I have an appointment at 6:15 for my 1 week check up and appointments often run late xxx

Also if you have swelling try and take ibuprofen maybe, might help slightly xx

hiya hun, hopefully its a good sign that she didn’t ask you to come in, if they thought it was something serious they would tell you to go to the clinic. I think we had our operations on the same day and I am also in loads of pain today hun and my bruising is really bad. My checkup is at 1.30 tomorrow in Manchester xx
take it easy girls, ice packs and ibuprofen all the way xx

Or bless you x I think the whole experience is much harder than I ever imagined it would be I’m worried about everything all the time my husband will be sick to death of me! I really hope it’s nothing bad for you and I think if they thought it was they would have had u straight in 2 but doesn’t stop u worrying I think they should have just to put your mind st ease and because your in pain good luck for tomorrow babe x x

I’ve had severe bruising and one boob larger , pain got worse and had to have fluid removed on Saturday. I’m now strapped up again and on complete rest. Praying that when my strapping comes off Wed all is ok! Just make sure you get it checked xxxx

@roxannep saw the nurse last nigh and I’ve got swelling from doing too much too quickly, just got to keep an eye on it but it all feels okay! Wasn’t given an medication xx

Hi Casey, so glad it was nothing too serious. I am finding it REALLY hard to sit and rest aswell, I’m not used to it!! I am also very swollen, although a bit better today. I bought a bra in a bigger size yesterday morning and I feel like it has made a huge differance. Now my bra feels comfortable, where as before it was literally agony to wear it. I don’t now how your bra feels, mine was really digging in around my incisions and i felt like I had a broken rib it was that bad, and my boobs felt really squashed and painful. My new bra just seems to hold them gently but firmly if you know what I mean hahaha I have found a well fitting bra has made a massive difference, I’m feeling much better today xx Hope you are feeling better and better each day and are over the worse of it xx
