I’m not taking their painkillers going to try and just take ibrobufen and paracetamol – Is this allowed?

I took 2 paracetamol last night before bed (About 9-10ish) then woke at 4am and had 2 Ibrobufen.
Ive just took my first antibiotic (Co – Amoxiclav) Can I now take 2 more paracetamol?

Im sure I heard you can mix and match the ibrobufen and paracetamol every 2 hours, But then I also read somewhere you shoudlnt have Ibrobufen.

You can take ibuprofen and paracetamol THREE hours apart but be really careful that the ibuprofen youre taking doesnt contain any paracetamol and vice versa. For example nurophen contains both! Im a nurse, hope this helps xx

The hospital just called me (As i left my bloody boots there)
I asked the nurse on the phone about painkillers and she said to avoid Ibrobufen at all costs as this can increase bleeding, Well ive just taken two more so now im shtting myself! xx

Every1 is different hun we advise our patients every two hours. So paracetamol 500mg then 200mg ibuprofen and so on. It depends on the dosage. But I also thought I got told to avoid ibuprofen but when I spoke to mya clinic nurse she said no its fine with medication hospital give me xc

you can take paracetamol and ibruprofen but its worth leaving time between them to see if the paracetamol works on its own. you just have to make sure you leave 4 hours between taking the same meds, so if you take paracetamol, don’t take it again for 4 hours, the same goes for ibruprofen. you can take paracetamol and then ibruprofen whenever, a hour, 2 hours 40 mins later etc, as long as you don’t take paracetamol again until its been 4 hours since you took the earlier paracetamol. did your surgeon not prescribe codeine? you’d be better taking the prescribed pain killers because its not good to take ibruprofen a lot because it causes problems.

pain killers won’t affect the antibiotics, you can take them together or separate x
