    Hi girls

So I’m 16 days po and just need a bit of help and you’re normally great at giving advice…

I normally wear 32 back size so I went up to 34 for my sports bras, there is loads of room at the back so they’re not too small but they really pull and rub on my incisions. Had another little look today after being really irritated with it today at work and it looks to have almost rubbed my incision back open?! It hasn’t bled but looks a lot more red and a bit more open than the other one 🙁 really scared I’m at risk of infection now!

Please can anyone help/offer advice at all!!

    Xx

HI Hannah, I think i would first of all make sure that its all clean and disinfected to prevent any possibility of an infection then maybe a small plaster if allowed. I’m sure its just a bit irritated since its still very fresh and sensitive xxx

    Hi x

Yes all strapping and plasters off now so it’s just rubbing against my skin, it’s like they just ride up and rub straight where the scar is – especially on my right boob. I could just tell today something wasn’t right.

Do you know if I’m allowed to put anything over them? Wipe them with a disinfectant wipe or something? I’ve been really careful at not trying to touch them too much. I’ve had to take the bra off at the min to give them a little breather.

What would you do 🙁 do u think I should call the nurse tomorrow?

Hope you’re healing well Ayesha?? Looking fab! you must be so excited now Karolina!!

    Xx

Hey they will be fine use warm water n cotton wool balls and clean them and keep dry I would say that your sports bra are far to small on back size I use the Shock Absorber sports bra with a seam-free and concealed elastic to reduce rubbing and chafing but you really do need to keep dry and clean chick xx

I know, they all seem to have a big band at the bottom which sits right in the incision! Deffo going to get some more tomorrow as don’t want ruin anything! Just putting some cotton wool and hot water on it now. They’re amazing thank you x they’re settling in a bit more now. Right one still behind the left! Both a bit high but got to be patient, think they’ll be amazing though! I can’t believe how much confidence they can give you!! Need to get some tops to show them off as mine are all baggy at the minute!! Naturally the dreaded boob greed has set in and think I could have gone a bit bigger :/

How are you getting on? You must be really happy!! Looking fab! Are you resting up? Xx

I’m going to order a couple of the shock absorber ones Ayesha but just to be clear am I best off getting a cup size bigger aswel as a back size bigger?? Or macom for first couple of weeks until the swelling has gone down then get measured? I see you’re a pro to this so I’m trusting your judgement

Sod the maccom. It’s waste of time and money girls you best off getting fitted for it if can as long as back size right the cup will stretch out as they have like this snap back in them which will adjuste to the size of your breast whether they are big to small or small it will just keep in Tune with them il check in with my mum in morning and let you girls know but I’m sure it’s back size that most important part of it xx

Get measured up pre or post op hun? Obviously post op for regular bras but I want to get a good few sports ones for majority wear. Is the bigger size advised or just the size I am now? I bet its handy having a mum in the know 🙂 xxx
