Hi Elle. I would highly recommend a Macom bra. It doesn’t matter what size as it expands to fit all, you just have to order band size. I’m usually a 34 so brought one in a 34 (medium) and one in a 36 (large) due to swelling. If you put in “mybreasts” in the code you will get 15% off. Trust me I’m 2 weeks post op and rather than buying another macom bra thought I would buy some sports bras (cheaper) and ended up buying a range of different sizes as none of them were comfortable and I ended up taking them all back and have now reverted back to the Macom! X

I agree! I love my macom! Bought loads of sports bras and one macom.. Took all the sports bras back as they are all uncomfortable and bought another macom! xx

Confused now as a friend only wore her macom for a few days & said it wasn’t supportive enough so I haven’t bought 1, just gone for sports bras instead. Has anyone tried the Primark sports bra? Comes in loads of colours & only £3, getting really good reviews.

I just feel safe and comfortable in my Macom bra! It compresses as well which eases the swelling and bruising (I never had any bruising but then again i also took Arnica tablets). I brought some cheap sports bras too but they haven’t got proper support not like a shock absorber etc. I wore a cheap Lonsdale sports bra on Sunday to give it a try and couldn’t wait to get it off as my boobs ached! X

Hiya @kelly I have some of the primark ones and they are wicked for support and give a great cleavage too 😉 think I have 9 different sports bras as I got a little excited before the op haha. Have got a white and black 34DD that just never fit just from Asda if they would be of any use to anyone? Xxx

I have the primark bras and I’m really happy with them! I got a few in M and L, so stretchy you can pull them on over your bum so no need to lift arms. x

I’ve bought 1 sports bra from Debenhams and think I’ll get rest from Primark. I’m having either 385 or 415 which should take me to a DD so have bought at E, is that right?
I asked the nurse at my pre op about Arnica tablets and she said not to take anything before and to even stop taking multi vitamins 2 weeks before and don’t start again till 2 weeks after. Might check with my PC again as I’ve seen loads of girls on here taking Arnica and want to do what ever I can to make recovery easier and quicker.

Kelly, as you know, I brought a Macom bra but also brought about 10 different sports bras (trying them out, cheaper). I had 325cc and could not even fit in a 34D, was way too tight. Even now (I am 2 and a bit weeks post op) I can’t fit into a 34D. That is why I use the Macom bra as it “fits all”. I didn’t like the feel of my boobs being squashed up in a sports bra. I heard that you shouldn’t take Arnica tablets but I did as I also heard others had taken them. I think they really helped as I had no bruising whatsoever once my strapping came off x

Elle, I would also recommend the Macom bra! I used it post surgery and was really glad i spent a little extra money because it was comfortable and supported really well. I’ve heard a lot of other people that used it and like it! x
