Hi girls, I’m almost 1 week post op and had my post op with the nurse today so now have nothing on my incisions. I’ve been wearing a shock absorber sports bra up until today and it’s been fab but I feel like it’s rubbing at my incisions now. Would I be ok to just wear a stretchy primark sports bra to bed? It’s not very supportive at all but it’s so much comfier on my wounds. Am I risking not healing well if I sleep without the support of my shock absorber? X

Hey huni it’s sounds like you have got the wrong size in it chick I’m big fan of the shock ab sports bra my works n Debhams and she got me on to them 3 year ago but she says u have to be fitted for them as they go off width not cup size have you drop your straps down on to last ones ? And if it’s rubbing which should but will if to small put cotton wool pad to cushion your scarring ? Xx

    How to measure yourself

When measuring, remember to wear a bra, keep the tape measure straight and snug and make sure it’s warm!

A – CUP MEASUREMENT – Measure around your body at the fullest part of the bust. Don’t have the tape measure too tight that it flattens your bust.

B- ACTUAL AROUND BODY MEASUREMENT – Measure around your body underneath your bust. Pull the tape measure quite tight.

It’s fitted fine up until today now that my incisions aren’t covered. I have 2 different sizes and the one I’m in definitely fits. I think I’ll just put some cotton padding on until they’re not as sore. My straps are down as low as they can go and I’ve put the width on the biggest size so it’s a little looser for the time being…the primark bra has zero support in it and is actually more uncomfortable now I’ve tried it on lol. My boobs suddenly feel very heavy without my shock Absorber on!
Thanks for your help Alex 🙂 xx

1st few weeks are so important chick the sports has a job do but comfort isn’t a part of it but will be when the swelling goes down and you need to keep your implants up and off wear so your scarring can heal faster but deffo put some padding on there chick my 1st round with the uplift wAs quite pain with my sports bra but when I took it off it was even worse but jan said if your going to ware the weaker one double it up x

See for me when I’ve had an ops I’ve got say when I lie down and my implants fall to the sides it’s quite pain full and don’t like feeling of of my implants pulling my skin and my sports keeps them together and helps loads when I sleep on my sides that’s big one for me

Yeah I like the support my shock absorber gives, it’s not quite as bad today, maybe it was just because I’d only just had my steri strips off. I’ve ordered another shock absorber (front zip this time and lower front so I can wear a vest top) and will double up on primark ones if I decide to wear them at night. I’ve struggled to find any decent ones that aren’t pull over ones! It’s a right pain trying to get them on, it hurts a bit too much at the minute to pull my arms above my head. X

I didn’t actually take that one with me but I feel the primark supports better than the asda one and both together feel pretty supportive! If the asda one is ok then the primark will be!She just said they should be supported but not too lifted that the scars are under pressure, and that you should be able to fit your fingers under the band! Hey dani that’s good news sometimes we have off days don’t forget that our implants are on the move to there new home I’m finding at the more I’m making my sports more smaller at the straps and round the back so at least I know the sweeling on the right side so girls wot are your best sports bras that you girls feel are the best ? As we all know that we are different in our own way and look for different things in a bra xx
