Ok so my bf tried to pull it out cos I was too scared but it wasn’t quite ready apparently so I’m gonna get the nurse to check it out on Thursday. I felt like my whole incision was gonna unravel lookin such a baby! Anyway it’s been trimmed for now so least it’s not catching. X

Awww I had 3 hun ugh cant blame you for wanting it out! I pulled one half out then had it trimmed & the others just broke down & came out in bits when washing gross was fun pulling it though, I was 3 month post op mind so wasn’t really worried about my incisions popping open lol, eww horrible images in my head now xx

I had this and they started to yuk a bit. I left a message for the nurse but they didnt get back to me that day, so i gave it a little tug, it didn’t want to come out so I disinfected the area, trimmed the stitch and it popped back in, cleaned it again and then put a small plaster on it. The nurse phoned the next day and said I had done the right thing and its all she would have done. I was worried it was infected but she said it was just white blood cells… Anyway, its fine now but can still feel the knot of the stitch so we’ll see 🙂 xxx

Hi girls, I had my stitches removed at 7 days po check with the nurse and now after reading this I am a bit worried that maybe it was too early?

@Estee I think a few surgeons use dissolvable so sounds like yours were normal. Wish they could’ve just taken mine out as spitting stitches that don’t dissolve fully is not nice 🙁 xxx

Yes, you are right hun! The nurse told me they weren’t dissovable, but I am a bit worried that it might have been too early.
I knowww, it must be such an unpleasant feeling… xxx

I think the incisions do close quick so I’m sure it was fine. Its so frustrating as my incisions had closed fully at 7 days so I was super chuffed and now where the stitches are being repelled from there are little holes. When I first saw it I panicked, started being a drama queen and imagining them getting so big and my implant falling out and everything ha ha. S’okay now though 🙂 xxx
