Hi every one, I’m new to the forum 🙂 I have my op with mr traynor 3 weeks on Wednesday n can’t wait! However, different friends know other friends n I keep hearing different stories about the level of pain after the op :/ one was she couldn’t even pick a peach up 😮 another, she apparently cudnt push doors open, then other stories about being able to play with kids and doin the school run, and one story was a girl I was talkin to at the clinic n she changed her bedroom round the day after her op moving a single bed I haven’t a clue what to believe or expect??? X

Hiya hunni, it all depends on the individual and also whether you are having unders or overs. I have had unders and for the first 2 days I couldn’t do pretty much anything but from day 3-4 it’s been onwards and upwards, now on day 6 post op and doing everything myself, only thing I’m not doing is driving but hoping to be back behind the wheel tomorrow 🙂 my advice would be not to push yourself and put too much pressure on yourself, you need to rest as you will recover sooner..take arnica tablets as they help with bruising and swelling..ice compresses are good for the first day or so too 🙂 I would describe the pain as more a sore achy and uncomfortable feeling xx

Hello 🙂 I’m having overs so if u were feeling much better for day 3/4 after unders, im sure I will be fine, so the pain doesn’t last too long then, that’s good to hear 🙂 I’ve booked two weeks off work but haven’t been making any plans just incase the peach story was true haha, thanks for the advise, debating whether or not too play on the pain thing to my boyfriend so he can cook my teas n do the cleaning whilst I’m recovering for two weeks 😉 lol just kidding, Thanks Cheryl xx

Hi Keerey. I think the pain does differ from person to person. I’m 4 days post op and still feeling very battered and bruised but think I tried to do too much too soon… Make sure you’ve got someone around to do things for you and enjoy the pampering 🙂 xx

Hiya, like Cheryl said everyone’s different. You will learn quite quickly what you can and can’t do, I was fine opening the car door but closing it was a killer!! In general though you should be fine by a week. I came off painkillers on day 3 and was back at work on day 7. Definitely milk it with the boyfriend though, get your monies worth lol. Best of luck hun x

Hi keerey, I am 1 day post op + I can’t say I have had any pain yet, it’s more of a heavy, achey feeling. I have just been keeping up with my painkillers + antibiotics. I do feel quite battered + bruised though, but everyone is different x x

Hi Keerey, I had unders which are supposed to be more painful and I couldn’t understand what all the fuss was about to be honest! I didn’t take any pain killers at all and the only thing I struggled with a bit was driving (I tried 5 days PO) so I think it is totally down to the individual! I must have been really lucky 🙂 x x x

The truth is everyone is different and it also depends on placement. I had mine under the muscle and i was in a lot of discomfor up until 5th day. day 3 & 4 is by far the worst. gets better after that x

Thanks very much for the advise every one I appreciate it 🙂 I think like you’s said it depends on the person and our pain thresh-holds I guess.. But I feel much more confident to know that the worst of it is over in the 1st week, whats one week in pain to having perfect boobies afterwards ha.. Thanks 🙂

Hi Keerey, I’m 5 days post op. I had partial unders and it was the worst pain i could ever imagine. I’m still taking tramadol every 4 hours but it has eased a lot now. I deal very badly with pain but it all depends, my friend breezed it and didnt even need any pain killers shes been fine. Saying all that even though it was only 5 days ago you forget any pain you have its all worth it in the end 🙂 good luck xx

Hi Jessica 🙂 I guess I will just have to wait n see how i handle it, I think unders will but a lot more painful than overs, and it’s good to hear ur feeling much better after just 5 days 🙂 what cc did u go too from what size? I had quite big boobs before when I was heavier but since I’ve lost weight they just seem like empty bags now, the skins already stretched, so I’m hoping it’s just a case of filling them up n I will be ok.. I will just have to wait and see… It will all be worth it 😀 xx

Hi keerey I think the trick is to b prepared for the worst (I think maybe the peach story Is a bit exaggerated though lol) and take each day as it comes. I bought lots of zip up tops roll on deodorant and had a babysitter for my daughter but in actual fact I felt fine. I did rest a lot but I made my own meals and washed my own hair. I ended up taking all the zip up tops back cos I dressed in normal clothes from the start. I think everyone is different but I would do it again in a heart beat x

I have a very low pain threshold so i was in agony, i was nearly crying! But everyone handles pain differently, like alot of other girls have said, you forget about the pain so quickly as soon as your better.. Day 6 i felt back to normal.. 🙂 xxx
