STRAPPING

Hi girls,

I am 5 days post op now and everything is going really well.

I have read that wearing a sports bra over the strapping is patient preference but i am getting concerned that just the strapping won’t give me the best results?
Has anyone just had strapping for the first week and found that this hasn’t affected results? or should i try and wear a bra for best results?

Hi Louise, I had my strapping off today. I found in the last week I had a day and a half without out my
Macom from day 2 purely cos my boobs were so swollen it was really uncomfortable. But as swelling starts to go down and also the strapping will naturally become a bit more looser due to movement, when I changed my bra this morning prior to my post op appointment I noticed how loose my strapping was when I did my bra up. So I would recommend wearing it over the top if it’s comfortable and this is what I was told by my nurse pre-op.
I now have my strapping off and got to see them for the first time today and I’m so pleased, felt a bit emotional. Ha. Happy healing x

I’ve been thinking the exact same thing. I’ve just had my strapping and breast band on. The nurse after my op said to stay as I am and take the Macom with me to my post op on Monday. I did ask the question but she said I dint needn’t to put the Macom on over the top. I put it on in the day yesterday but took it off at night.

Louise I had partials & only have strapping.. The nurse told me it’s personal preference and you don’t need a bra over.. but I’ve put my Macom on this morning as the strapping seemed a bit looser & I feel like I need to hold myself as I go downstairs haha! Roll on Monday to get it offffff!

Thanks girls! I think I am going to wear my bra over the top now for the next couple of days just to make sure.

I know.. not long now girls 🙂 it’s actually gone quite quick! How’s your pain? Mine seems to be getting worse. Keep getting really sharp pains where my incisions are ( I think) hoping this is good.. and that they are just healing.
Imogen, be interesting to see how ours both turn out. We are very similar stats, same size implant, just different profile.
