Hi girls can anybody who’s had strapping let me know what it’s like when it comes off?!
I’m in quite a bit of pain 3 days post opp and thinking about anybody touching me is making me feel queesy, let alone someone ripping thick plasters off me! I’m working myself up into a bit of a state bout it, maybe it’s cause they are strapped and completely un touched and un moving it makes it seem daunting! Sharing your experiences would help loads girls just so I’m prepared and know what to expect?? xx

Don’t let yourself get worked up about it, just imagine how great they’re gonna look when it’s all over! The doctors are always going to be gentle, just keep on top of your painkillers for now 🙂 xxx

I was frightened too but it didn’t hurt. Over the next few days the strapping will soften a bit & moisture from your body will weaken the grip of the glue. It came off much easier than I thought x

I was scared too now my mya nurse was brutal she just wanted it off and did not hold back!!! When she removed it from around the breast it did not hurt but under my arms did it pulled the skin away it was like burns and very sore. My advice to you is go to tesco pharmacy and ask for zoff it’s an adhesive remover it’s the same one mya use it’s about £5 a box try loosen the strapping yourself without taking it off totally expecially under your arms. I wish I had I just used it afterwards to get rid of the sticky. I only think tesco sell it as I went to boots asda Lloyd’s pharmacy etc and only tesco had it!!! I hope this helps!!! Don’t worry you’ll be fine xx

I’m dreading this too and I’ve not even had mine done yet, plus I will have to go to the appointment alone as hubby will be taking kids to school xx

Thanks for the replies girls. it is really tight under my arms!
I’m more concerned bout it hurting my actual boobs, I’m too scared to even touch them or change my sports bra. My incisions are sure too. What a nightmare lol xx

Its an uncomfortable feeling but i wouldn’t say its painful. I did feel a bit faint when i saw my boobs. So she layed me down and got me some water. I still felt faint every time i took my bra off for the next couple of days but it does get better xx

That’s definitely gonna be me! I keep feeling faint as it is from the pain! I just spoke to the nurse and she’s suggested Ice and to take my macom off, I think it’s gonna help loads
What was it that made you feel faint, the weight? xx
