So this first week has flown by and tomorrow i will be 1 week Post Op and going back to Fitzroy to get my strapping off but im also worried about it!
    Does it hurt?
And this may sound silly but cos its sooo sticky does it fee like they are ripping off your boobs? lol!
I think im probably overthinking it but a part of me doesn’t know how ill cope without the strapping haha!
And am i going to be able to do more once it comes off? Im taking pain killers about twice a day now and cant really lift anything that has a bit of weight
    Thanks xxx

Hey Marie, I also had horrible back pain on pod1 & 2, it got better after that as iv becom less stiff as the days go on xxx
I found getting up often and having a little walk around helped my s back as it straightened it out xx

Yes I agree if I’m sat for a while it seems more painful than If I’m up and about maybe I’ll just keep trying to walk it out thanks for the advice 🙂 x

    Hey Jess,
It’s not nice but it’s not unbareable, my nurse used the comparison of having a wax which I have to say was pretty spot on. They do use wipes to help ease up the stickiness (I can’t think of the right word) lol!!

I’m 9dpo but I was doing a lot at 2dpo, so I can’t really comment of if you will be more mobile as I think I have quite a strong pain threshold and therefore cut down the pain killers at 3dpo and only took them at night to help me sleep because my back was hurting.

How are you feeling otherwise? Are you excited to finally see your new assets? I couldn’t wait to get my strapping off! I was going to post a picture today but I dropped my phone so it’s in repair! Hopefully will put up some pictures later! 🙂 Happy Healing xxx

Hey jess I had my strapping off Tuesday and it really wasn’t bad at all. I just felt the same after it had come off, but the bras I bought were too small and I’ve had to get new ones so until they come I’m just living in a sports bra which is really comfy. They dont feel like my own yet though and still feel really alien and heavy! I think the key is good support. As of yesterday I have been able to lift my 4 month old very carefully every day I’m getting stronger but just being careful. I’m trying to take ibuprofen as and when but it’s wierd it’s not like pain it’s more ache so I don’t know if it’s really helping just taking that rather than paracetamol as it’s an anti inflamitry. Just don’t worry about it too much only 1 more day and you get to see your new boobies 🙂 xxx
