Hi Nikita, I’ve been using the palmers cocoa butter stretch marks on my boobs pretty much from the beginning but not anywhere near my incisions. I don’t think you’re meant to use scar cream until you get the ok at the 6 weeks check. I have my appt on Thursday so hoping to get the all clear then. I have the dermatrix cream and strips which are apparently recommended by surgeons. Someone on here did mention that their surgeon recommended a vitamin e cream I think from the body shop. Hope this helps x

Thank you does it really help with the stretch marks? I have my 1 week appointment on Thursday so will ask if I can start using creams as they told me from the beginning not to use anything yet but my boobs are so stretched and I’ve heard other people using creams already too.

Also another question sorry because your nearly at your 6 week how are you finding lifting heavyish things? I’m a mechanic and I go back to work after 4 weeks I’m worried I won’t be able to do much still at that time xxx

One of the girls on here mentioned about the Body Shop Vitamin E cream, apparently it’s amazing!

I am prone to getting stretch marks so I’ve used Science Of Skin Stretch Mark Defence since 2 weeks pre op, excluding my first week post op. It’s in an aerosol can and I only felt comfortable using it at such early days because I had dressings on for four weeks. I’m 7WPO and still use it every day as well as cocoa butter daily. Prior to using cocoa butter I used Banana Boat aloe vera gel as that’s super hydrating but expensive so I only used until 4WPO.
I’ve seen one girl get stretch marks around 6ish weeks post op, two others who got them around 12 weeks and one who got them around 5 months. Xx

The cocoa butter I use is the stretch marks one, I have already got loads of stretch marks from weight gain and loss – I don’t have any new ones as yet (fingers crossed). I will have to try the science of stretch marks too! As for lifting etc, I’m sure you already know that you aren’t really meant to lift for 6 weeks. I would say that I was definitely able to at 4 weeks. I did stretch a bit too high though last week and felt really sore and bruised for a good 5 days, so even though I was like 5 weeks you do still have to be careful x

I’ve just put some palmers cocoa butter with vitamin e on my boobs and nipples as I had some laying around and God that’s helped my nipples were so dry and sore 🙁 and thanks Shelly, I will definitely try my best to not do anything seriously heavy at work it’s just bad timing as its my job to lift heavy I’m gonna be so silly relying on others to do that for me but I hope they’ll understand xx

Lol, by 4 weeks you will probably be ok though. I did have an uplift as well as implants so the recovery time is a bit longer. I think as well the first time I did certain things it hurt but you kind of have to retrain the muscles to work again if that makes sense. Anyway, it’s all worth it in the end x
