Struggling with underwire bras

I was given the all clear to wear underwire bras 2 weeks ago but I am really struggling to get used to them again. I was measured as a 32F and think I’m struggling with the size of the bra on my body and it also feels a little uncomfortable on my incisions. Today I had people over and then went out for my birthday meal and my underwire bra on for like 4 hours and couldn’t wait to get my Macom back on when I got home.

Has anyone else had this?

@destijl Danielle I’m 5 weeks post op and went out last night so went shopping for a bra yesterday, what a nightmare and I wasn’t trying underwired bras just non wired but every one I tried was so uncomfortable and didn’t seem to fit my boobs properly. I think it’s cos they are still quite firm and didn’t t seem to sit right in any bra finally gave in and bought one but was only out for 3 hours and couldn’t wait to get back into a sports bra! Although my incisions are healed the area is still quite tender and easily irritated. I think in reality it’s going to be a few more weeks before we can wear underwired bras comfortably and I saw. Post on here the other day who said their surgeon had said wearing them all the time can cause wear on the bottom of the implant, so much conflicting advice x :-/

I’ve put cotton pads over the incisions so the underwriting doesn’t rub on them. Felt weird the first day but now I’m used to it. The cotton pad just gives it more cushioning and stops it from rubbing so much xx

@beakysbird I think for me it’s because I have a little bit of a tummy on me and when I sit down it is pushing into the bottom of my bra. I think if loose some weight of my stomach it will cut that down and also I’m still not used to such big bras as I went from an A to an F. Managed 6 hours in a bra today though so getting better.

I find new bras agong once they have been washed and worn a few times they seem to soften x
