Sun beds?

When can we use the sun beds again? Is it ok to go on with sports bra on so that scars are covered. X

Hey Nina. Nurses recommend 12 weeks but mine said aslong as my scars are covered it’s totally fine. I bought some of those big sterile plasters they use after your op from home bargains and they’ve worked a treat 🙂 I’ve seen some girls say their nurses have told them no beds for a year!! Crazy, anyways or been absolutely fine on them I went back on at about 2 weeks xxx

My nurse was saying it’s a year of definate NO to sunbeds… she said, the skin on the boobs will be too stretched, therefore too sensitive to be tanned on sunbeds for a year.
That’s so confusing…

I would go crazy without sunbed for a year!!

My surgeon told me 6 weeks but literally can’t wait! Think I’ll just keep bra on & cover the skin on rest of the boobs with a top or something! At least the rest of my body will be brown lol xx

I went on today (but only for 5 mins). I’m two weeks post op. I left my macom bra and breast band on, as well as wrapping my boobs up in a Tshirt and made sure the fans were directed at my chest to keep them cool! ? xxx
