What a day!!heres how it went…
Admission time was 11.30 but we were early and got there at 11! Was sent straight to my room (9) and settled in! I had a slight medical complication that I had worried would stop my op, if you want to know about this inbox me as it may help girls in a similar sitch!within mins mr t had been to see me and told me not to worry all is ok with that! I had a nurse run through questions, take blood pressure etc. then the anaesthetist came to have a chat, then the ward doctor and finally mr t to draw on me and do the consent form! I say finally but all of that was done by 11.45. I had been told I would be in at 1.30/2 for surgery but as mr t left he gave me a cheeky smile and said see you in 40mins! Somehow I’d been moved up the list! Not long after Mary the recovery nurse came to see me, but more importantly my mum who was more nervous than me!! Then she took me down to be out to sleep! After a chat with the lovely Shaun the anaesthetist came in and before I knew it I was going to sleep!! Although he promised me he would make it taste like strawberry for me…it didn’t!!;-)
Next thing I knew I was in recovery having a chat! Then back to my room! I was drowsy most of the day and when I tried to eat I felt sick so was given something to stop that! And left to sleep! At 3.30 I was allowed to go when I felt ready! So at. 4pm that was it! I was gone!! I spent most of last night sleeping but feel much better today! I’m not in pain so to speak, it’s more tightness in my chest and arms! Totally manageable!! Any questions girls feel to ask and thank you for your fabulous support! Ps, I haven’t seen my boobs much but can tell they are fab and when I got changed my mum oh my god they are amazing ha! Xxx
