Swimming pools?!

Hi everyone,
I’ve read a lot about washing etc and wondered what everyone’s been told about swimming? I’m 3 weeks post op and am allowed to shower normally but really fancy sitting in the jacuzzi or our outdoor pool at the gym…when it’s back sunny again of course lol but not sure if anyone’s been told anything? I don’t actually intend on doing any swimming or exercise related until I’m told I’m allowed at my 6 week appointment but sitting in one would be great!

Hiya, I was told no swimming/water for 6 weeks and that the hot tubs are actually worse than swimming pools as they have more germs?

Thanks, to be honest I’d never asked but that was exactly what I thought it would be. I’m just struggling with a sore back so was hoping it could be something to help ease it! Will just have to stick with hot water bottles:)

No pools till 6 weeks, swimming pool would be a bad idea but a public jaccuzzi is a huge no no, you can actualy contract HPV2 (Genital herpes) from a hot tub so unless it was your own at home and you were sure of it’s cleanliness then best to steer well clear xxx
