Hi, I have just recently purchased a tub of Hydrolysed Collagen from Holland & Barrett and thought I’d give you some information on how it could benefit you.

Collagen is considered a fibrous protein, and just like any protein, it is made up of amino acids.
For example, consuming dairy, eggs, lean meats, soy etc. can supply your body with these amino acids, enough so to combine and form enough collagen to benefit your body. Alternatively, without it – joints can weaken, muscles can break down, skin can sag… It’s pretty important!
Getting plenty of protein before and after your op is vital, it will help your muscles and incisions heal a lot better and quicker.

Consuming Collagen will reduce the elasticity of loose skin. This is due to the molecule being responsible for making the connective tissue in your skin, therefore able to thicken and tighten the skin and camouflage any irregularities!

It is being used in the medical field to help with recovery from sore joint recovery, cancer recovery treatment, and post-surgery treatments. Collagen is also commonly used as meal replacement for those who want to reduce weight. It helps maintain blood sugar levels while providing essential Amino Acids, giving an immediate boost of energy. Hydrolysed collagen is naturally caffeine free, is a known advocate of healthier skin and it aids hair and nail growth too.

Also medical research has shown that Zinc can increase the speed of healing dramatically. Zinc has reduced healing time after surgery by 43% in some cases. It plays a vital role in the immune system can reduce inflammation, bacterial growth, and scar tissue creation, whereas a deficiency can worsen the scar.

I’d really recommend buying these 2 supplements. Holland & Barrett have a deal on at the moment where you buy one and get the other half price 🙂
