My mum is really supportive, she’s helping in every way possible she knows how much it means too me but she’s known i’ve always wanted one (I’m 20). My brother is coming nearly 300 miles to help look after my two daughters for 2 weeks (op is in 5/6 weeks) and my other brother and 3 sisters are all supportive. everyone in my family knows apart from my dad which I plan to tell when we’re alone together , I’m just gonna come straight out with it. if he doesn’t like it tough look.. my money and my body! If anything i’m mostly worried about when those people you hardly know realize or are told, like those people you see on a daily basis ect… I know a lot of people at uni but haven’t told them, they will probs be like wtf lol… I’d tell those people that are important, it’s a massive thing and if they know how much it means to you i’m sure they will be really supportive. if it wasn’t for my mum i couldn’t get there and back from the hospital and it’s nice knowing she approves.. good luck hun xx

Thats so nice everyones really supportive!
I wish my mum would be! Whenever i’ve tried to bring it up she like puts a block on the convo and says not to mess with nature etc.
how are you paying for it if you don’t mind me asking?

I plan on telling her at a spa day which will probs be a few days before the op! aha yeah I’m not telling anyone apart from my mum and boyfriend. If my brother and dad find out then thats cool but apart from that then no -one.

what size were you/you going for? thanks 🙂

Just keep bringing it up, so she gets used to the idea, and tell her the reasons your going too. if she keeps ignoring it maybe be adamant you have to discuss it cause it’s important she understands your reasons behind it and that she comes round to the idea? and also how it’s important you have her support? and maybe suggest her coming to appointments so she knows you are going with a good company? just a few suggestions that may help?
I’ve paid my deposit 3 weeks ago and paying the rest in full in late April 🙂 i’m booked for 13th may, have my pre-op on 15th April… when are you booked in?
I’m a 32B & at surgeon consultation chose 510CC but gonna discuss everything proper with him again at pre-op. I’m hoping i can get overs! 😀
what are you/ are you getting and whats your stats? xx

I’m 19 and my family have known its something i’ve wanted for years, when i got a date for surgery I asked for permission and my parents said yes without hesitation (unexpected reaction). They both took me to the hospital and have been so helpful and supportive, I especially didn’t expect it of my dad.
Just tell them and let them know how important it is, i’m sure they will be the same 🙂 xx
