The contraceptive pill

Hi girls, I have my BA booked for 11th April. Is it 2 weeks before you stop taking the pill? What about afterwards aswell? xxx

I had a late space and my date got moved earlier so only stopped taking it 1 week before and then started taking it again the day after so it was just like I had my pill free week but earlier! They do recommend two weeks before though 🙂 xx

What happens if u have coil ?

i didnt stop mine! i had my BA yesterday! the chance of DVT/PE is very small so i decided not to stop it and im perfectly fine ive been on the pill for 10 years aswel 😉 xx

@amyprincess1988 Amy the coil is fine they dont ask u to remove it! its too much messing about for the small chance it has xx

Hi girls I had my BA 6 weeks ago now, I continued to take my pill has normal when I had my Op, no one told me to stop!
My nurse etc knew I was taking the pill and said that was fine 🙂
Think it depends on the individual xxx

Oh okay, I’m gonna ask at my pre op aswell, just wanted to know what you all did xxxxxx

I didn’t stop taking my pill either as was told the chances of clotting in a normal healthy young woman was so slim it wasn’t worth risking an unwanted pregnancy for so haven’t bothered stopping mine altho you get some lovely stockings to wear for a few days after to reduce the risk of clotting too and your up and about in no time so it’s highly unlikely your going to end up with any problems xxx
