Hi all, i’m new to this forum so not sure what i’m doing lol!!
I’m booked to surgery at London Fitzroy 21st September (yeh i know ages away) as a day case. I know the clinic can’t tell you a time of arrival until 3 days before, but i just want to get a rough idea of an arrival time as i live in Birmingham. Just wondering if its best to get a hotel near Euston the night before so that i can be be there early enough if that is what the clinic asks for day cases???

I had my op in Preston and my admission time was 8am from what I’ve seen admission times vary with day cases I would wait till you get your admission time befor booking hotel xxx

I was a day case, my admission was 9.30 but a friend wasn’t u til 2pm on hers.
I got a hotel the night before just by Euston station just less stressful and you know you don’t have to get up too early !
After he op I stayed in London again as I had quite a long day I didn’t fancy the travelling back home. This hotel was in Paddington and that was only £8 in an uber so you have the choice of more hotels too x

Oh really, yeh so times are totally different. I was thinking myself tbh if I stay in a hotel at least I am already down there. Less faffing about at this end. I live about a 25min car journey away from New street station in Brum (dependant on traffic). Perfect excuse for a night in a hotel LOL. Thank you x
