Time off work!!

Hi ladies,
Please can anyone share with me how long they had off work post surgery. I know it’s dependent of whether it’s under the muscle or over. Xx

I was advised 2 weeks. I originally took a week off then changed my mind last minute and got a 2 week sick note…I’m soooo glad I did otherwise I’d be back on Monday and I’m so not ready. I’m a community nurse though so I have to drive and give injections there’s no way I’d be able to yet. Mine were under the muscle plus an uplift.x

I’ve been told 1 week off work but the surgeon hasn’t said whether or not it will be under or over the muscle – I really want under the muscle will this mean I need more time off?

I’m having unders and I’m a dog groomer so very physical job, I was told 2 weeks but I’m taking 3 weeks just to be safe. Xx

I had Overs and had 10 days off work after surgery. I’m an assistant at Toni and Guy so lots of blowdrying, shampooing, cleaning and some lifting. I was worried that I’d be going back too soon but had no problems x

I was told 2 weeks for physical job (I had unders), but there’s no way I could have done my job fully after 2 weeks. Luckily I have my own business so could just pick and choose what I did, but I think it definitely depends what your job is and how quick you heal! Xx

What’s best? Overs or unders xx

Thanks everyone I’m having overs so hopefully a week will be long enough. I have a desk job so not too much physical labour required! X

I had partials and went back after 9 days, I was achey but not painfully that couldn’t be controlled with painkillers
I have a desk job and do 10 hours days and I’m pretty sure. Would have managed after a week 🙂 xx

I had unders and had 2 weeks off. The first week I went back to work was tiring angry made me ache a lot but I’ve been back 2 weeks now and I feel fine now xx
