    Hi Girls,
I have had my consultation with surgeon and happy to go ahead with my BA. I am interested in doing it asap to take advantage of the last space discount and MYA have offered me nearly £ off(!) to have the op next week Saturday (5th September). The issue is I am flying to New York in exactly 4 weeks after the would be op and I am scared incase of complications since I will also be flying on my own…..

Any advice on recovery times, process etc and experience of flying soon after BA would be much appreciated!

    Hi Jess

You need to speak with your PC or surgeon. I fly 3weeks after my BA and they have only allowed this as its short flight. A flight to New York is a fair few hours so double check you are allowed to fly and how it will effect your insurance etc x

I think it’s 6 weeks before long haul and 2 weeks for short xx

Remember your bags! Can’t lift at 4wrrks a big case so travel light and use lifts!!!

To be honest it is a bit of a risk… at 4 weeks there was no way I could have travelled. I travelled at 8 weeks and still couldn’t lift my case. xx
