Has anyone been for surgery for tuberous breast yet? I’ve got an extreme case and I have my consultation on 20th Feb…scared they won’t be able to carry out surgery cause it’s that bad…:/

Help and reassurance would be appreciated, thanks!

    Hi Alice,

Would love to see the before and after pictures if you don’t mind, just so I can base it on my own case. How do you feel?? How long did it take from your consultation to the surgery?x

    Hi,

I’ll see if I can private message you some photos. I feel alright. I was out of recovery by 11 and had a strong painkiller then. Its just starting to wear off now and it feela achey on my right side. My back aches too from trying to sleep at an angle. I actually had my first consultation withh mya on October 1st and booked surgery for 7th Dec. They then called my op December 4th due to not liking my medical history from the GP. So I had loads of consults elsewhere and booked with THG about 5 weeks ago. They had dates as soon as 2-3 weeks but I had to find the time off work x

Hey! I also had tubular breasts but only a mild case. I was grade 2 and think it goes up to 4? I think even if you have it quite badly they can still sort it, they offered me a mastopexy where they remove a bit of skin around the nipple to tighten it etc to make sure you achieve the “round” rather than pointy look!

As I was a borderline case me and my surgeon (private surgeon not MYA) decided to go for only implants. It does look a little like my tubular breasts are ontop of the implant but it’s so much better than I looked before! I’m 5 days post op and loving them more and more each day! See what the surgeon thinks but I had decided if the surgeon thought the only way to get round breasts was to have the uplift then I was going to go ahead with it.

Stay positive there’s LOTS of girls in your situation just as j was?Xx

Casey, oh I didn’t know they had grades…I’m going to look into that and see what I actually am as no one has told me yet haha. So pleased for you, yes I’m going to go with what the surgeon thinks best, don’t want them going wrong. Thanks a lot x

Yeh I think I was grade 1 on the border of grade 2. My main issue was very small distance from the breast crease to the nipple, making them appear saggy and the nipple itself was very puffy as my breast tissue was pushed forward tightly into the nipple rather than spread out evenly behind it. When my nipples were erect my boobs looked almost normal x

I’ve researched the grades, I would say I’m grade 2 to grade 3, I have no breast tissue underneath, so hardly any crease which is my problem. They are also asymmetry too. Just hope something can be done. Thanks for all the advice it’s helped x

I’m sure something can be done ☺ I went for a consultation at a tubular breast specialist clinic called aurora clinics, where they do more extensive Techniques, like scraping the tissue so it loosens inside rather than being tight and constrcited. But the surgeon I saw thought just a BA with lowering my crease would be sufficient. It was £600 more expensive there though so I went elsewhere but I think my surgeon has done some similar techniques. Let us know how you get on x

Went to my consultation and I’m booked in to meet my surgeon next Wednesday. I can’t remember my surgeons name but I know it’s a Dr M something. Hoping that he can do something about my tuberous breasts, here’s hoping! If everything goes well I should hopefully get my BA at the start of April. X

Iv just had my consultation on thu and was so disappointed to hear that I have tuberous breasts and my surgeon told me I won’t get the results I am looking for .. He said he’s not managed to give anyone with tuberous breasts the best result .. Which has put me off X this surgeon is very popular in Glasgow .. But now I’m so confused as to what to do X I am currently a 34c maybe and just wanted them reshape so maybe up one size as I don’t want big boobs X my surgeon says after 1 year it’s possible that the implant will move to when lying down to under my arms .. I don’t want that xx if anyone has any pics I could see I would be so great full girls xx

Hello girls! Not been on here a while! I had my surgeon consultation with Dr Mounir and my op is on the 18th April? I’m so excited! I’m having to have a nipple lift on my left breast as it’s more tubular than the other. It has cost extra but I would rather pay it to make it look right. I’m getting 275cc in my left breast and 300cc in my right breast which he said will help me achieve a C! I can’t believe I’m getting it done! He did say I won’t achieve a ‘perfect’ result but I expected that. Feel free to add me as I will be posting pictures closer to the time of my op and posting pictures after my op? how’s everyone doing anyway?! how are you now Alice?xx

Hiya I’ve got Dr Mounir. Another surgeon at another company told me I have tuberous breasts but Mr M disagreed that I needed a nipple reduction and said I would get the results I wanted with implants alone . He said no point paying extra if it’s not needed . 350/400cc overs . Good luck . Here’s mine now . Op booked for 9th May . Mr M specialises in correction of tuberous breasts so I’m very confident in him doing my op . X

Hi girls. Looking for some advice from anybody who has/had tuberous breasts and has had a BA. I have been to a consultation today through Spire clinic and the surgeon told me I would not get the look I desire. I have a very mild case of tuberous breasts (he said it wouldn’t even classify as tuberous) however he said it would still have that cone like effect after surgery? Is it true that it isn’t possible to get rid of this cone like look? look that I desire. Feeling really disheartened and any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance x

hey, each individuals results will always be different and original. It’s hard to say what other people’s will go on, the best is to give advice on what I’ve gone through in my BA:) if you add me as a friend you’ll see my pictures, I’m gone 3 months now! I’m so much happier with my boobs, even though they still aren’t classed as ‘Perfect’ but so much more confident and happier in myself than before. I’d 100% research before you go ahead if you’re not sure:) for me it’s the best decision I’ve ever made, and would not look back!! I don’t have a cone like look anymore at all, they have almost dropped completely!!

If you have anymore questions you can private message me:)

    Xx
