    Hi ladies,

From my first consultation (another next week) I have been offered the choice of overs or unders. My stats are 5’5″, 8.5st and size 8 on top 6 on bottom, I’m petite but also athletic as I workout 6 days a week. I’m only a 34a/b (quite empty post breastfeeding) but the consultant said I have enough breast tissue that I could have overs (especially as I’ve increased my breast size twice previously due to breastfeeding) but she said that as I want a natural look and my petite frame, by the book she should really do unders! I know the down side of unders is the recovery time but I will forfeit that for a more natural look but my main concern is not being able to get a cleavage with unders, I’m going for probably 350cc ish maybe 375 if they’ll fit but as I’m narrow they have suggested UHP, again my concern is not getting the cleavage. With overs, my concern is seeing an obvious outline of the implants and looking fake. Any advice or pictures gratefully received!! :0)

@lb2017 Hi Louise..im 8 weeks post op with 400cc overs I’m small like you size 6/8. I started with a small b and like I said I had overs. Honestly they look so natural on me I was worried that they were goin to look too fake and stuck on but they look just like my boobs before only bigger. I chose overs partly because of the easier recovery and also because I work out alot and didn’t want them to move and distort while I was lifting weights. My recovery was so easy , the first week is always uncomfortable but I was back in work ( in a factory) after a week. I think alot of surgeons prefer under as they say there are less risks but don’t let them force it on you if that’s not what you want. You’re still at the consultation stage so you’ve got plenty of time to do some research but remember results look different on everyone so try not to compare too much…hope this helps. Let me know of you have any questions I might be able to help with. Laura xx

Hey hun I’d defo sway more towards overs becasue u work out quite frequently plus you’re more likely to achieve a more together cleavage whixh u said u wanted.

Ive bit worked out properly since my op nearly six months ago but when I do some core workouts I do notice my boobs going a bit weird and distorted which is really putting me off doing yoga which I love as I don’t want my boobs to be even more spaced out. Hope that helps! And good luck x

I dont understand where the idea of having overs looks unnatural comes from?! I was soooo worried that through having overs I wouldn’t have a natrual look because like you I’m petite I’m a 6 all round and also work out so didn’t want a fake look! maybe larger implants look more natrual with unders as oppose to overs but this is my result 11 days post op so are still fairly high up but have dropped a considerable amount compared to straight after the op and i love them think they look so natural on my body and i love that they aren’t far apart like they maybe would be with unders. I had 325cc in one and 175cc in the other because of asymmetry but the 325cc was an A size almost B so if you go with that side only then its the same as you! my other was already a C so didnt need as big implant 🙂
Not sure if any of this makes sense! but i love the recovery of overs by day 5 i was in the gym walking on the treadmill at an incline and now at 2 weeks PO I’m starting to do lower body work, no weights but using resistance bands x

@laurao what are the extra risks with overs Hun?

Thank you all ladies, I’ve added you all to see your progress I hope that’s ok. I think you e all swayed me towards overs!! I think I was told that overs can look less natural as you have more chance of seeing the outline of the implant, especially when you’re slight in frame. But as I like to work out and I want a cleavage, then maybe overs are right for me! Thank you all for your honest opinions. X

@lb2017 from what I researched and what my surgeon told me, overs have a higher chance of capsular contracture, all implants have this risk but its abit higher with overs. I really freaked out about this when I was researching but I also found out that ALOT of girls have overs and have had 0 problems. Also there is more chance of seeing rippling of the implant because it’s closer to the surface of the skin. When I bend forward and hunch my shoulders I can feel some rippling ( I cant see it though) and also this is not a position I’m in very often haha. My surgeon also said that overs can “droop” quicker because ther not held in place by the muscle but I did more research on this and spoke to other surgeons who said that all boobs “droop” over time whether they’re real or implants and thats just gravity.
These aren’t major risks I guess but they’re good to know so you can be fully informed. Sorry for the long message but hope it helps xx

    Your boobs look great girls!
I had surgery yesterday and was suggested to go with unders originally but I went for a much smaller implant as I wanted them over the muscle due to aerial training etc so I have had 250cc mod profile 🙂 A little more pain this evening but otherwise have felt fine thankfully! Pics on profile and will update over the weeks if you want to add me 🙂 x

Ur welcome babe. I think the outline is more noticeable if u have an extremely big size in comparison to your frame for example chloe khan, Katie price and jodie marsh. Fx

@lb2017 thank you! I Was a small b before but they were really empty from losing weight. I haven’t been measured properly yet but im buying 32d/dd/e depending were I go. It’s a bit of a shock buying an e cup haha but implants measure bigger than they look because of the shape of them, so even though I buy an e cup I still only look like a d/dd. Thats something I wish I’d of known earlier because I got so caught up in forums on girls measurements when really the measurements arnt always 100% accurate to what they will actually look like size wise…hopefukly that makes sense..not sure I explained that well xx

Hi ladies I’m a smallish 34a/b and have been offered up to 375 unders. … I have been reading posts about like exercise and stuff and it’s worrying me because I like to go gym up to 4 times a week. Would this impact unders? Xx

@mae14 hi Scarlett, it I my affects under if you’re lifting weights, when you use your chest muscles the implants can move out to the side abit but they move right back once you’re not contracting your chest again. It’s definitely something to ask your surgeon about but its also not a deal breaker..alot of girls who train have unders xx
