Has anyone had revision surgery and changed from unders to overs? I had my OP in October 2015 and have had double bubble for the past 12 months! It has gotten better slowly but I have not got the results I was looking for. MYA have agreed revision surgery instantly which is great. The surgeon just doesnt know whether I will be going from unders to overs or unders to overs including uplift. I went for an appointment on Tues and have another on Mon. Thanks!

I have seen someone on here recently but can’t think who…. But they had revision from unders to overs coz her muscle was too strong and apparently all was well since, healing nicely etc xx

Hiya 🙂 sorry I haven’t been online for a while.

I had my first op unders 22nd December 2016 and had double bubble which my surgeon said he could lift the pocket etc to hold them in place but I’d have more than just incision scars and also I lift heavy weights so no good for my chest muscle.

12th april I had revision surgery and they put my implants over it’s been nearly 10 weeks now and I’m completely healed doing really well and loving my boobs even more as they are so natural. It’s totally worth it. I was in underwired bras straight out of my second operation which my surgeon recommended to give them support as my Macom sports bra only squashed them rather than supported them.

I hope all goes well for you it’s totally worth it. I have some pics on my Profile will take some new ones later xxx

Thanks Nikitta I have added you to have a look at your pics! Just really hoping it will work as I don’t fancy a 3rd op and uplift!!

Double bubble is where your old breast tissue overlaps the implant and you can see your old crease. Sometimes it will settle as the implants iron out the old crease. Sometimes like me it doesn’t and you have to have a re op to sort it out. I probably haven’t explained it very well but if you Google image search you will be able to see some examples.

Hi Sarah, i was just wondering if your surgeon did perform your revision to eradicate your double bubble and how things are now? Did you have them placed over the muscle this time?
    Many thanks xxx

Hi yes I had my revision in October last year. The double bubble has gone completely now! My only criticism is I can see slight rippling but he told me to expect that. They are 100x better though and if this option has been given to you then go for it! Sorry I have only just picked this message up, its on my rarely checked emails x

Hi Sarah, no problem and many thanks for your reply, unfortunately MYA refused my revision in the end, i still have the double bubble and displacement but unfortunately my pectoral muscle is also damaged so i need my implants removed, the NHS are removing them for me, very happy to see your change of placement has worked out for you though!! I may have the option to go over too with fat graft but have to stay empty for 6 months first xxx
