unders v. overs

Hi girls! What’s ur thoughts on unders vs. Overs? Am I right in thinking that any rippling is less obvious if the implant is under the muscle? Which is obviously a good thing, but has anyone had any experience with unders sitting quite high and looking more conical than overs?
Any advice is much appreciated! I’m having Mr Traynor in 2 weeks and he favours doing overs, but when I went for a consultation last year with mr russo (who’s now left) he said unders would b best. How confusing :/ x

I hun,is depending if you have enough skin to have overs..if you use to do sport like weights ect…Im having Overs,because of that and my surgeon MRS Grobs favours doing overs as well..you have the risk to have rippling if you go for a big implant more than unders..one benefit the recovery is quicker..and pppl say they look natural as well. Well I definately have the skin, as I went up to a 34e when I had my little boy and was breastfeeding but he’s 2 now and my boobs have shrunk to smaller than before I had him. I’m a small 32b and I’m getting 410cc. Mr Traynor offered me 3 sizes with 410 being the bigger of them and he said I should b a ful D or even a DD. I’m trying to tell myself to just trust what he says on the day :/ but its so hard to just hand over control of ur body to somebody else! X

I complety understand how you feel! My surgeon offered me 450 like the bigger implant,then 415,385cc..I asked her for an advise like a profesional..and she recommend me 415 cc to have D/DD cup,saying 450 would be to much!Honestly many ppl will recomend you to go for bigger,but I prefer to follow Surgeon advise..I have seen photos of girls with the same size and 415 cc and the look DD..wearing at the begining E sport bra! When do you have the op?Me 2nd april :)xx

27th of this month! 16 days and counting!!! I asked the surgeon which he thought I should go for and he said the 410, i don’t mind having to wear a bigger bra size as long as they only look a D or DD. Soooo excited now, think I’m just gonna hav to turn my brain off and stop stressing. Just trust the professional! X

Hi, i had 460cc unders from 32a 8 weeks ago with Mr T, there settling really nice now, still some way to go, but i think they look fab, recovery was fine also, no problems what so ever xx

I was told I could have overs or unders, but I really don’t want to make the choice! Keep swaying between the two! Overs might be a quicker recovery time, but unders might avoid rippling and capsular contracture. It’s hard to decide 🙁 Don’t know if I should put myself through unders if overs are good enough .

Aww stefanie r u chuffed with them?! What did u think of Mr Traynor? He was quite straight to the point with me, not in a nasty way or anything! Could I add u? And keisbells I know exactly where ur coming from, but I’m thinking if unders r best for avoiding complications like CC and rippling maybe its worth the extra recovery time? And some people even say they didn’t find the unders too painful. I just hate these hard decisions being down to me!! I just want my new boobs to look amazing and make me feel like iv always wanted to! Sick of being a 26yr mum who looks like a 12yr old boy! X

Yes, it’s more I don’t want to make the decision!! Must be harder for you having two different opinions are you seeing him before op to make final decision?

Hi Girls,aboutthe rippling My surgeon said that is difficult to get that with the new soft touch implants because they are 3 times as thick..no like the old ones tha are so thin!She says the have.Any way the patient’s physical characteristics will affect the decision as well as the surgeon’s preference…when my surgeon saw my breast..she was like..you deffo Overs.xxx

Mr T told me he preferred the regular CUI implants so I’m gonna go for them. 🙂 x

Hi jakki, glad you said that bout mr t preferring CUIs, I knew he does, he told me that! I also had the exact same dilemma, Russo told me unders, but mr t said overs. Then I went to see another surgeon who said definitely overs as the unders might give double bubble/snoopy as I too went from 32a to 34f so had loads of skin. The overs have filled it back up and I had no pain, no rippling. Good luck, you will get lovely boobs whatever x x x

I’m getting 410 CUI 🙂 I wish people would stop trying to stick their noses in cuz its making me paranoid I’m going too big! I’m a size 8 and 5’6 and I’m a 32b at the min but quite saggy from having my little boy. I told Mr T I didn want to b any bigger than a DD to look at it but didn’t mind if I measured bigger as that normally happens. Whenever iv tried the implants on at consultations the 410 hav looked great but I’m just so worried :/
My family r really supportive but its just friends and work colleagues being a pain!! Xx
